It happened at 1 30 this morning in on san carlos street. Four people injured with stab wounds who have undergone surgery. Police have not yet released more information. A teenage girl killed in a car crash in the south bay, and five of our coworkers injured, and now investigators work to see what led to the accident. It happened around 3 00 yesterday afternoon near lafayette street. Police and medics responded, and when they did, the teenager who was a passenger in the truck was already dead. The driver and four other passengers were taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. They say people on the truck were on the way back from catering an event in oakland when they crashed. Customers stopping by the restaurant reacted to the news. Im emotional behind it because its just its a real tragedy. Its awful. Witnesses told investigators it didnt look like the truck was speeding before the crash. Police are checking Traffic Cameras and the trucks Computer System to verify that. A deputy involved in the now infamous beating of a burglary suspect is no longer with the sheriffs department. Veteran Deputy Shawn Osborne was fired, one of three officers involved in the car burglary suspect. He and two other deputies chased the suspect from Castro Valley into San Francisco on report of a stolen car. A bystander shot this video of the beating. San franciscos public defender says deputy was seen twerling a necklace taken off and giving it to witnesses in exchange for their silence. The attorney, however, expects his client to be exonerated. The other two deputies are on paid administrative leave. Finally, an arrest in the case of a quadruple homicide in San Franciscos hays valley that happened more than a year ago. The police invest gapter says the case was considered a high priority after they found a car riddled with bullets. The four men inside the car were all dead. Police called relatives of all four victims yesterday to announce the break in the case. This news is a relief for the mother of 19yearold. I could not rest unless i knew there was an arrest. Yesterday, they arrested 27 lee farley of San Francisco, facing a list of possible charges including four counts of murder and participating in a street gang. Police arrested farley in a federal prison in atwater where hes already serving time for being a felon in position of a firearm. Court documents revealed he has a long history with drugs and weapons charges. He will appear in court on monday. Now to valleo, a mother on a mission of justice when her mom was attacked. Her car was stolen tuesday, and she approached the people, and tried to get the car back, and then the situation turn eed violent. Closed the car door, caught my moms shirt and dragged my mom putting the car on drive, rolled over her in the uturn and took off. The victims daughter says the thieves are a man and woman, driving the car all over the north and east bay using the victims credit cards. The daughter uncovered Surveillance Video of the man she thinks is the suspect. Theres a photo there. Shes begin it to police in hopes of leading to an arrest. A Medical Transport plane on the way to oakland crashed yesterday, killing all the pmgs on board. Four people were killed and were told parts of the aircraft are spread across the dense forest. The transmission shows the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit after taking off. The plane turned around to go back but crashed about five miles north of the airplane. The plane was registered to a Company Called cal or life flight, transferring parties throughout Northern California and oregon. Well, two people are under arrest for the shootings of two San Diego Police officers early yesterday morning. One of those officers died and just yesterday, Police Department colleagues gathered with supporters from the public for a vigil to remember him. The shooting makes departments across the country on high alert following killings in dallas and baton rouge earlier this month. The John Deguzman was the officer shot and killed, a 16 year veteran of the Police Departmentment his partner was shot and seriously wounded. The second suspect was taken into custody after an hours long swat standoff. I cant begin to put in words the emotions and feelings that surround an event like this. They are burning near the town of clear lake close to where last years devastating valley fire scorched 76,000 acres. This is video yesterday shot by one of our viewers. One blaze blackened ten acres near highway 53 in clear lake, and the second fire ignited just about five miles north of that, east of highway 53. The fires burned nearly 20 acres total and destroyed one structure. At last check, the fires were 50 contained, and evacuation orders lifted. Meanwhile, help is on the way in the fight to contain the fire burning. Fema gave the green light to use federal funds to battle the wildfire that charred 33,000 acres and its 15 contained. Its burning since last friday and continues to threaten about 300 homes there. A bulldozer was killed in the fire earlier this week. The zika virus took a dramatic turn in florida. Four people diagnosed with the virus there, did not catch it or seize meaning the virus was likely spread by local mosquitos. All four patients live within a mime of one another north of miami. State Health Officials are door to door to get the word out and nearby states are watching closely. So this was not unexpected. This is where suspects in the burglaries ended up, face down in a creek bed nearby. Really, really happen. Reporter neighbors say they are glad, yet surprised Police Arrested the suspects so quickly. Really appreciate their hard work. Its not easy to be called and then actually catch the people. Reporter the police chief says the officers are exhausted. Many times working on their days off to help the understaffed department and they are mentally fatigued after hearing reports of officers killed in the line of duty across the country. Well, they are under a tremendous amount of stress. You know, its a very tired Police Department. Theyve been operating, doing so well for so long with so little. Reporter because of understaffing, right now, the Department Needs to fill 240 shifts a week, each of those filled by officers on overtime. Yet, even with all the stress, the chief says hes seen drops in burglaries from 5,000, 167 in 2014 to 4,000 last year, and other crimes. We want to be safe like only police can save us.
