Pieces of the bluff fall to the beach below. With more Severe Weather expected over the next few months, the city decided it is not taking any chances. The city council declared a local emergency. That decision comes just a few hours comes after city leaders put yellow tags on 20 apartments. Engineers believe the bluff beneath that street is crumbling and quickly and people that live there are being ordered to move out and an order that one building oowner says is completely out of line. Ill be homeless in three days and thats unacceptable and to throw all the residents and tenants out in a couple of hours is really unfair. Its very hard on them and im going to be filing an appeal on this decision. Pacificas police chief says forcing the yellow tag order is a matter of public safety. He says people can move things out, but they cannot spend the night there. The red cross right now is offering its assistance. Now to this developing story. A los altos man says hes been framed. In a jailhouse interview the man arrested for the death of his coworker says hes innocent and hes being set up. The body of kyle myrick has still not been found but they believe his remains may have been dump under to the ocean. Investigators release the pictures of a white pickup truck they say is conducted to the suspect. Steve hlebo was arrested at his home early saturday morning. But he believes he is being framed by his coworkers who put drugs in his coffee. I think they were putting it in intentionally so they could discredit me and pin a murder on me essentially. Investigators say myrick only worked for together for koppel of days. Police believe the murder happened in a burned out building next to the motorcycle shop. Theyre now reaching out to anyone who may have seen hlebo driving between 6 00 p. M. Friday or early saturday morning. All new this morning for the second time in just a week, a hoverboard caught fire damaging a bay area home. The latest fire happened last night at a house in petaluma. This is a picture of the hoverboard after it exploded and caught fire while it was charging, fitting a pattern. The homeowner was able to put that fire out, but not before significant damage to the home. Last week a hoverboard was blamed for a fire that destroyed a familys house in santa rosa and killed their two dogs. The u. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission now says this is the 40th hoverboard related fire in the country and marks the eighth in california. Police are stepping up the manhunt by asking for the publics help. The manhunt began on friday when these three inmates were discovered missing from the jail in santa ana. Authorities say the three men likely cut through steel bars and plumbing ducts before climbing to the roof and repelling down several stories using a rope. A 50,000 reward is now being offered to anyone who has info to lead to their capture. They dont know how the inmates got the tools to cut through all that metal. So, as we head into the weekend, we will have those storm systems moving in. It does start to move in by late thursday night into early friday. Looks like it just rains pretty much all day off and on on friday. Into the day on saturday and then it wraps up on sunday. It when it does so, our temperatures will be chilly. It looks like we will see that rain off and on and then on sunday it will be wrapping up. The rain outlook for the next seven days brings some pretty significant rainfall totals anywhere from 1. 5 to 2. 5 inches for most of us. Some spots that get a little bit less especially for the south bay. Anywhere from 0. 5 and a good soaking is on the way after a few days of dry weather. Over here in oakland, we dont see much fog and little glow from the lights and we dont see much traffic although you always have traffic on the nimitz. Watching coastal fog develop and right now palo alto and inland not a problem right now as far as that volume of traffic and show you the map. The other side of the bay. San francisco supervisors will vote on a measure that has some Police Department supporters fuming. Supervisor david campos is introducing a resolution to honor mario woods. A man shot and killed by Police Last Month in the bay view district. Police say that woods was a stabbing suspect who refused to drop his knife. Campos suggest that woods birthday would honor him and be a symbol of police reform. Well, the Police Officer association, for one, not so fond of this idea. Part of their statement reads, supervisors are seeking a day of remembrance for a convicted felon. Those who have died a violent death in the line of duty serving this city have never received such acknowledgment. At the same time, San Franciscos Police Department is already launching an image overhaul in the wake of recent racially charged incidents. Yesterday the department announced a new campaign.
