Last month, she had risky surgery to remove it. And the prognosis is hopeful. Now, maria views the whole ordeal as an opportunity to rethink her priorities. And we are we help everybody and we put ourselves last. Always. And i dont think that we at least for me, i guess i realized, i didnt value myself in a lot of ways. And so, i think that was a really important lesson. Reporter a lesson she now wants to share. When our bodies make weird noises were like, shut up. Im too busy to go to the doctor. Reporter she spoke to People Magazine about everything shes endured. She has not said anything about this until now. She is just now recovering. Shes getting her balance back. She hoped by sharing the story she will encourage people to listen to their bodies and go get anything that feels wrong checked out because thats exactly what she did. Reporter even though her surgery was successful, marias ordeal is not over. Theres a 6 to 7 chance that this toomer cocome back. You have to watch it. As dion and the stray dog became very fond of each other, but the next day he faced a striking decision at a river crossing. I started running through the water and i could hear this dog barking, wining yelping and basically crying. She couldnt swim. She couldnt swim. I saw this dog in so much panic running and you happen dpoun the water that i made the decision to go back and pick her up. After turning back for the first im ever in a race, dion knew their bond was real. As soon as i picked her up, she had a look of bliss in her eyes. The pair went on to take second place in the overall race. She was with me all along. Wanted to bring home to scotland, while awaiting processing in china, the unthinkable happened. She was released and vanished in a dense city of 3 million people. Dion returned to china desperate to find furry friend with reward posters placed everywhere. I was heart brokened and incredibly worried for her safety and finally dion received a text with a photo. Was it really her. When he showed up at the home where the dog had been found alive, it was a miracle. She came running up. Into my arms. Skreeling wining barking yelping like the river crossing. She knew it was me. It was incredible. It was the best moment of my life. In his new book, finding gobi documented unique connection. I had a tough depressive upbringing. Of course, this one we are grilling up ribs and some corn. Two different ways with eric, the executive chef of the tupelo honey bar and grill. I love ribs. Me, too. My favorite barbecue dish. You have pork ribs here. Were doing the home cooked version. Were not going to smoke them. Were going to cook them low and slow. Were going to give all these things here. The incredit yegreed yedient. Chili powder, mustard. You put it on both sides of the ribs . Got to get it in there, too. You get what youre looking for. There you go. So, 300 degrees covered with foil, in the oven. What cut of ribs . The st. Louis cut of ribs. They cut the membrane off. So, its cleaner, more beautiful, nice cut of pork. We go from there to the oven. From here to the oven. And we have, what does the cooking in the oven do before the grilling . You need to cook low and slow. It breaks down the collagen and it makes it tender and juicy. If you throw a raw rib on the grill, it will seize up and not taste delicious. What you do on the grill, is you want to finish them. The grills going hard. You want to go on the bone side. It protects the meat. It doesnt allow it to get hard. Bone side down. About a minute, minute and a half on this side. And well flip it when we sauce. And we can throw the corn on here. Were using charcoal. But you can use gas, as well. Charcoals the way to go. You sound like sheinelle jones. Husk on, i notice. You dont have to. Well boil the corn and soak the husk in cold water so it doesnt burn on the grill. It looks nicer. I think we need to flip those. These over here. Right here. Its smoking. These are amazing. You keep talking. Sweet, its not going to. Lets talk about this sauce. This is probably my favorite sauce ive ever made. Blackberry has beBarbecue Sauce let me help you out. Please do. That would be awesome. We have brown sugar. Ginger. Pretty much thats it. A little bit of honey. When do you start baste sg. About right here. Go for it. Flip these back over and give them 30 seconds to get a little char on the sauce. Dylan said we should have flipped them about five minutes ago. Dylan knows better than we do. Fair enough. Learned that a long time ago. Flip these over. About 30 seconds on that side and were golden. How can you tell on the grill when the ribs are ready. When they look delicious and bubbling and beautiful. Got to eyeball it. Thats why youre the chef. If i didnt know, i wouldnt have a job. Blackberry habernaro Barbecue Sauce. So easy. Go in a sauce pan about 20 minutes. Strain it. Tip on the ginger as well. Back of a spoon, just of course its not going to work on tv. Just like this. Nice and easy. Nobody gets hurt. I like to go almost down to the bottom. And i have a really simple syrup. This is just some jam that i loosened up with a little bit of lemon juice. This is raspberry jam. You take a funnel and you pour it in. You continue with the holes. Then, what youre going to do, is then, i have some scour cream. A little bit of brown sugar. A little bit of vanilla. Stir this up. That alone. This is a good fruit dip. Heres the thing, youre making holes on top of your cake. You have to cover it.
