After being on the run for three days. They injured two Prison Guards on their transport bus. Late thursday night, it was finally over. These are murderers. Coldblooded murderers. We did what it took to bring them into custody. Reporter on thursday afternoon, the convicts broke into this house, holding the husband and wife at gunpoint. And forcing the wife to cook for them. She had made some soup, she said, beef stew, like. They ate it. They got the mans boots. Some of his clothing, some of his valuables. Reporter the men stoll that couples jeep and were spotted headed west. Police in pursuit, got into a rolling gun fight. Shots fired. The suspect in the back, shooting now. Reporter they crashed the vehicle and took off on foot. As they disappeared into the woods, police converged from all directions. Pair up and run the back roads. Reporter neighbors spotted the inmates outside of their homes, got their guns and called police. They were attempting to carjack or steal another vehicle from that residence. The homeowner sche eer stepped held the people by gunpoint until another neighbor came to assist him. Theyre walking with anywhere hands in the air. Theyve laid on the ground, facedown. Reporter minutes later, when two s. W. A. T. Teams and canine units arrived, the suspects were finally taken back into custody. In that rolling gun battle down the interstate, bullets were plying and did hit other cars on the internet. Nobody was injured. In that violence crash they had in the jeep, apparently, they lost their guns and took off on foot. Thats why when the Good Samaritan came upon them, they didnt fire back. The pilot is out. But he is injured. Reporter the blimps only occupant, pilot trevor thompson, made it out before the explosion, but suffered burns on 40 of his body. My earlier albums were done, you know, by my exhusband who produced and cowrote everything with me. This was a very independent venture. And took more courage than if youre leaning on a partner or doing it with a collaboration. This was more of a solo experience. And it was challenging in that regard. But very rewarding. I was going to say, it had to be more satisfying. You take all of the weight. You also feel the frgratificati. More than 90 million albums sold worldwide. What does it feel like when youre on the stage and you look out, and theres a face like mine, a mom, a dad, a grandfather, a 7yearold, and were all singing the lyrics . Not all artists can pull that kind of crowd together. From the depth of my heart, i love diversity. I love community. And i just think that thats my music and it relates to people. I want to be relatable. I want to be friends with the people that im singing for. And singing with. Is it true that you were actually singling in bars when you were 8 . Im trying to picture cool. I was legal by the time i went my mother obtained a special license that allowed me to work in those environments, in clubs. What was your inspiration for this latest album . Well, it was a big transition period in my life. I was facing a lot of challenges of starting my life over, out of my last marriage. And starting my music over. Without a collaborator. And just finding my voice. I had a really big problem i still have the problem with my voice. But im learning to get around it. And you know, i work with it. And you know, put in the hours and the time. Its hard work. I was determined to get it back and here i go. I have lyme disease and that caused nerve damage. Youre here. The driver in this case, jimmy lam, shot and killed three coworkers before then turning the gun on himself. Three shot in that rampage were injured but now have been released from the hospital. Lam entered the office shortly before a staff meeting on the third floor, singled out his victims and then told others to get out. They believe lam may have been belittled by fellow drivers. He had filed a grievance with the company. Suspects are due in court where they may be arraigned. They face 33 counts of manslaughter, one for those who died in the fire. He said the allegations against him will hold up in court. He doubts that. They accuse harris of blocking a staircase from the second floor of the warehouse that took away one of two escape routes when that fire broke out. I lost my dad when i was young. I lost my dad. He died of cancer when i was 5. I had a moment when i wasnt feeling great. I was feeling a little nauseous. I was watching my girls play in the play room. I wanted to leave and go lie down. And i had a moment when i was thinking about my dad, like, wow. He went through chemo and radiation. There were times when he felt nauseous and terrible. And i have great memories of him playing with us, nine stop until the day he died. It was amazing how quickly i felt better. Just thinking about his strength and those moments. Amazing the perspective you get from your father. My dad wasnt big on giving advice, but now, he gives the same advice. Dont work too hard. That was his regret. 41 yearsed a the post office. And he would go two or three days because of shifting schedules. But now, hell turn on the tube and hell see me in the morning or the afternoon or the evening. Dont work too hard. This weekend, they wanted to go. See guardians of the galaxy. We all went. It was sweet. And they wanted to be, still courtney like leila said, im doing what my dad did. Get the names confused. He would call me the dog. Hey, happy. No. Leila said, you know, dad, im going to college. Wee youre not going to have much more of me much longer . Yeah. Going to high school. That scares me most, hearing that. You have young kids. How fast it goes. It scares me, how true it is. Such a cliche. And people say that, hey, it goes fast, i know.
