Lets say youre going to be the guy in the general election. You look at some of the polling right now. You have an enormous negative number, 68 of people say they cant support you. Would you admit you have a lot of work to do . Well, i think its going to go very quickly, frankly. Ive been hit by 55,000 on your show, 55,000 negative ads, and nobody else has. You know, you look at a guy like kasich. He has never been hit by an ad because nobody cares, frankly. No, its true. Its true. And cruz isnt hit with negative ads. They went after me, both sides, the other side and my side. Despite that i won florida by almost 21 points, in a landslide. Ive won mostly landslides, 22 or 24 states and nobody else is even close. The main thing, millions and millions of votes, more than anybody else has. You know thats the republican primary, 30 Million People vote in the republican primary, 130 million vote in the general election. Right. If you look at these polls and the specifics and the swing voters who decide elections in this country, in poll after poll, 69 of women disapprove. 67 of independents. Young people, 70 unfavorable. Thats not just one poll. Its several. So what work do you have to do . How are you going to convince them that you are their candidate . When people see that im going to bring jobs back to this country, when they see that im going to strengthen up the military, when they see that im going to have strong borders like nobody else can have, we will build a wall and mexico will pay for the wall, by the way. But when they see were getting rid of obamacare, a total disaster and were going to be replacing it with something good. North carolina, what theyre going through with all the business thats leaving, all of the strife and this is on both sides. Leave it the way it is. There have been very few complaints the way it is. People go. They use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate. There has been so little trouble. And the problem with what happened in North Carolina is the strife and the economic i mean, the economic punishment that theyre taking. Do you have any transgender people working in your organization . I dont know. No . I really dont know. If Caitlyn Jenner were to walk into trump tower and wanted to use the bathroom, you would be fine with her using any bathroom she chooses . That is correct. Different issue you know, theres a big move to create new bathrooms. Problem with that is for transgender, that would be first of all, i think that would be discriminatory in a certain way. The republican platform, every four years, has a provision that states that the right of the unborn child shall not be infringed. It makes no exceptions for rape, incest, for the life of the mother. Look, North Carolina did something that was very strong, and theyre paying a big price. Theres a lot of problems. One of the best answers i heard was from a commentator yesterday saying leave it the way it is right now. There have been very few problems. Leave it the way it is. North carolina, what theyre going through with all of the business thats leaving and all of the strife. And thats on both sides. You leave it the way it is. There have been very few complaints the way it is. People go. They use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate. There has been so little trouble. And the problem with what happened in North Carolina is the strife and the economic i mean, the economic punishment that theyre taking. He went on to say matt followed up on that and said lets say, for example, Caitlyn Jenner walks into trump tower and says i want to use the womens bathroom. Do you have a problem with that . He said no, not at all. Let her go where shes comfortable. That will raise some eyebrows in the Republican Party. Are you up for raising taxes on the wealthy . He said yeah, including myself. Yeah. Thats not a traditional conservative answer, so a really interesting dichotomy going on. He was asked about immigration by somebody who has, i guess, family members who have been here 25 years, undocumented, though. And he said, you know, were going to do something. But were going to create a path legally, which is the first time i heard him say create a path. You know, again, it implies a path to citizenship down the road but something legally. He did say they would be deported first. They would be deported first. Savannah clarified with him. You get in line and come through the right way was his position. Fascinating. We are following breaking news out of San Francisco where firefighters have been battling a fire near dolores park on 17th and guerrero. This is new video just into the newsroom. In the meantime, one person has died and two paramedics seriously injured after separate crashes early this morning on interstate 80 and crocket.
