Pete, good morning to you. Reporter investigators say this 20yearold wanted to carry out his attack at a way of supporting the isis terror group. He talked about his plans to somebody he thought was like minded but who turned out to be working for the fbi. The plan federal prosecutors say was to set off pipe bombs at the u. S. Capitol, then shoot people as they fled. Fbi investigators say Christopher Lee cornell, age 20 from you bursuburban cincinnati, first came to their attention last august when he began posting messages on twitter calling himself raheel and expressing support for the isis terror group. He soon met someone in the cincinnati area he thought was sympathetic, but who was actually an undercover operative for the fbi. On wednesday cornell took a further step in his plot, going to the shooting range and buying who rifles like this along with 600 rounds of ammunition and the fbi and manager watched closely. As soon as the purchase was over and he left the door, several agents came out and tackled him here in the parking lot and took him down. Reporter according to court documents, cornell said he drew inspiration from Anwar Al Awlaki and videos from isis and he says the brothers over there, isis, quote, gave a thumbs up for acts of violent jihad. This new battleground in the terrorist war against us, and thats social media being used to communicate with people who are willing to carry out desperate maniacal acts to kill americans. Reporter family members believe the fbi pushed him to do something he would not have done on his own. I think a lot of it was coercion. He got coerced. Have you had any personal experience with the disease prior to this . I have not, no. And have not. But i oddly feel ive been able to reap the benefits of this experience without the pain that goes along with actually having a relative or a friend that has to struggle through that. You learned a lot about it because of the movie . Yeah. Hopefully that energy, when something is truly real on screen and somebody is actually experiencing something and to be in julie oons presence, you have to be a sociopath to not have a real connection and be truly affected by what shes doing. Its contagious. It comes across. I think audiences are going to be able to grow in the same way that we did. Let me talk about you a little bit. I havent interviewed you all that many times. The times i have, i come away with the idea that youre very comfortable with one aspect of this career, the working actress. Yeah. And less comfortable with the public persona aspect. He wants to get down and explore right now. Saxon, will the chaos of everyday life here in a studio on a live show will this prove to be beneficial as a guide dog . Yes, definitely. It will make him a very welladjusted dog. Hes having a lot of great experiences here. Hes seeing novel objects such as the cameras, hearing all different kinds of sounds. Even just to walk in on the street is very exciting for him, so thats a great experience for him. And hes getting to meet a lot of people and learning to work with lots of different types of people and different people that maybe he doesnt know as well is a great experience for him. For people keeping score at home how many accidents has he had in the studio . Well hes had a few in his little pen. Two, i think. But just in general, hes done really well. Looking back was there something inside, this feeling or sensation that you know what, we may get there. Im not overconfident but i believe in this film and project so much . I mean, we couldnt have done it without having the belief in it. But you never know. You know, you dont. You cant set out to expect these things. You just, you know, you just make it and you love making it and put everything into it and then if this happens, its just incredible. But it wasnt an expected thing.
