Heart breaking this upscale and Quiet Community outside of houston testimony lone gunman has been ieflded as 33 ron lee haskel. He is behind bars. His rampage ended with help from the lone survivor, a 15yearold girl he left for dead. A sweltering summer afternoon shattered by violence. A shooting spree at a home on leaf flat lane. The victims ranging in age from 4 to 39yearsold. It breaks my heart. I have been here 37 years him nothing like this has ever happened. Reporter police say the male suspect, who was going through a divorce, opened fire at the home of his siblings, five of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene and one child died after being airlifted to a hospital. The lone survivor, a 15yearold girl who was shot in the head managed to help police. She was coherent enough to tell us who did it, what he was driving and a street name of where the rest of the family lived. It was our understanding he was going to that location to kill more people there. Reporter police intercepted the suspect. This cell phone shows the dramatic 30minute car chase. Finally, he was cornered four miles from the crime scene. I guess he was looking for a way out of the neighborhood or something, he went straight for that culdesac. They trapped him in there. Reporter over the next three hours, police tried to get the suspect to surrender. They even used two armed vehicles to sandwich his car cutting off 18 chance of escape. He gave up after sun down at the end of a dark day in spring texas. The suspect had a court date today. He did not appear in court, though. There has been no motive for the shootingful as for that 15yearold girl, she is still in critical condition. Miguel, thank you so much. The Immigration Crisis remains center stage today as president obama wraps up a quick trip to texas. Today dozen of pot shops are banning together to protest come next friday more than 70 cannabis clubs will be forced to shut down due to new city restrictions. Reporter forest hayes was a 51yearold google executive and married father of five who police say met tichelman online and hooked up several times on his boat in the santa cruz marina. Before google, hayes had been an engineer at apple. He was found dead last november 23rd and police say the yachts Surveillance Video showed tichelman injecting hayes and casually cleaning up after he collapsed. She steps over the body, reaches over to the table and finishes a glass of wine and then goes back about her business. Reporter the dating website called seeking arrangements says escorts and prostitutes are strictly prohibited. The suspects profile didnt indicate she was using the site inappropriately or was a danger to any other member. Police say tichelman claimed she had over 200 customers, digital age buyers who overlooked any risk for the chance of instant gratification. You can see by the time we get to this weekend, we should be up around 31 feet, just indicating that the river is going to start overflowing its banks before it starts to recede by the time we get into the middle of next week. We are looking at additional rainfall and any rain is going to make matters worse right through iowa, especially over the next couple of days, starting tomorrow into friday saturday as well. We are looking at the possibility of two to three inches of additional rain. While those rivers are trying to recede, any additional rain will make the flooding out that way even worse. While here my last couple of days, ive had the chance to get up close. Ive had a chance to get on top of it and even to go inside it. Daylight comes early here in the land of the midnight sun. It will be hours before the streets of juneau begin to bustle, teaming with tourists, many of them here to see Mendenhall Glacier. More than 12 miles of Natural History frozen in time spilling into the lake below scattered with icebergs. I just landed here on m Mendenhall Glacier, one of the most impressive natural wonders in juneau, alaska. Are you ready to do a little ice climbing . Most of this ice is somewhere between two and 300 years old. It takes about a decade for snow to turn into glacier ice. You want me to go up that . You think i can do that . Whats going on . I am out of my mind. Its been an extraordinary jam packed, action packed two days right outside here in juneau and Mendenhall Glacier. That glacier, i think you saw. You cant appreciate the beauty and how spectacular it is until youre up close or even on top of it. As you saw, i actually was able to climb some of it which was the scariest thing i think i have ever done. I tried a lot of things, but that was about the scariest. It has been an incredible trip here. There is so much to see and do, am hong the many natural wonders here as well, the extraordinary wildlife. Coming up in just little bit, i saw everything from bald eagles to grizzly bears. We went to an area called pat creek. It is amazing the amount of wildlife there, and the grizzlies, we get pretty upclose. Youll see it in a little bit. Meanwhile this great crowd from juneau showed up, about 1,500 people. When here in juneau, tamron and willie, youve got to have just one of these guys, if you can stomach this. This is an alaskan king crab from tracys crab shack. Thats the place to go here.
