On the 18th birthday found out it wasnt his i aint saying shes a gold digger but we want prenup anyway, its all about prenups. Hes worth a lot more than she is. Right . Apparently. And nobody has any idea how much money anybodys got unless youre the accountant. But its been but a general idea. General idea, yeah. Hes done very, very well in the music business, fashion business. They say he is generally worth about 100 million, which is an awful lot of money. She, only 40. But i dont think thats right either. But anyway, they both have a lot to protect. Lets put it that way. I was reading on some gossipy website, i think it was rob shuters or something. That theyre planning a big threeday wedding in paris. They both love paris. Its been important. You know what . I dont know. What do you think about having another big wedding after the other big one . Its exhausting. The first one is exhausting, much less the third or elizabeth taylor, did she still have big parties after each marriage . I dont know. I dont know. Did you get a prenup your first wedding . I only had one. No, i didnt. Are you sorry . I mean, would it have been a better idea to have done it . I didnt have anything, so it didnt matter. But, ill tell you what you never know whats going to happen in your life. You could get stuff. Right. And you also dont think that the other person is going to go for stuff. Or you wouldnt be marrying that person. Right. First of all, i think whatever you make as an individual while you are married becomes Common Community property. Right. But frank and i had every intention of getting a prenup. What happened . Well, i thought it was a smart idea. It was summertime. We went down on the beach with our attorney, the late and wonderful, our dear, dear friend. We go down, and he brings along his dog named claude, who was a poodle. And every time we start to get into something important, claude started humping my leg. And it went on a long time. And finally frank looked at our attorney and said you know what . Claude feels about it the way i do. There will be no prenup. So we dont have one. And we got married about a month later. You dont really know how someone is going to react i would have given him to you yesterday, i told you. When i told you about the story that he wouldnt eat the pasta. Did we get any reaction for that . I bet we did. You were eating salad and pasta. And i was eating a nice salad. They brought me pasta and the pasta was better. All right . And frank told you, no, no, no, eat the salad. Eat the salad. Im even madder now. Its one of those things that yeah. So i dont know. I think after a while whats the old saying . Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. But you have to learn from life or youre destined to make the same mistakes over and over. Heres the thing. A lot of girls date the same kind of guys over and over, even though they know the guys theyre the same exact type and they keep going down the same road thinking theyre going to get a different result at the end. Right. But you know what doesnt change . What . You. Thats the problem. You know what i think one of the best you change partners, but youre the same. And you might be the problem. One of the best exercises i think you can do if you are having trouble finding a guy, you should take your last three serious relationships, whoever they were, and ask them what was the issue with our relationship . Tell me the one thing that was the issue and find out which issue was the Common Thread among all three. Ask them. And thats your issue. Most people arent talking to them anymore. But if you could, they would tell you imagine, though if i didnt like him because he was too contrling. This one i didnt like because he was too money hungry. And then you have to figure out what was your issue with all of them . And whatever your Common Thread is. Its always easier to point out someone elses flaws than your own, hoedy. They all drank in those days. They didnt have drugs. Right. They were drinking. You know . Your life is so fascinating. And i think there are so many interesting things people are going to take away from the book. One is and i didnt know this at all. That archie bunker could have been you. Yeah. Tell us about that. I just finished doing another i did those big valleys with missy stanwyck. Yes. And this one i was thrown off the horse and i was on a cane, recuperating from this terrible accident, and i got a call from marianne reese, who was norman here dont i look a lot alike . Anyway, norman heres assistant. And said gavin, come over and see. I went over to see her. I was on a cane and she said were doing this thing, till death do us part. She sent me a script. That was the one they did in england. She said i think youre perfect for it. Its a big hit and is going to be likable. I said i hate bigotry in any form. She said, well, this is funny. I said this is funny . Yeah. Didnt seem possible. She said but normans got his eyes on carroll. You know . And so they flew me to new york. And i got a free trip to see my mother, brother, grandmother. But it wasnt meant to be. I did the whole it just wasnt meant to be. And i was so grateful because i knew i told my brother before they called me, i said, ron, i said i dont think i can i really just i just cant do that. But it worked out great for carroll. He was absolutely brilliant as that character. And you were brilliant as you wouldnt have been the captain. We only have a minute left. Tell us about what happened in your faith journey. Oh, my lord. It just has changed my whole life completely. I know im not alone anymore. I know what eternity means. Its like when i brought ted knight to the lord. I know when ted died in 1986 where he went. Right. And i was so grateful to be used that way. I walk with jesus christ every single day, lord of my life. He gets me through everything. And patty and i are just having a great life. When did that happen for you . September 15th, 1984. Wow. The storys in the book about my mom and how i prayed to jesus and he changed me completely. Its a beautiful book. Its fun. Its funny. And whats great about this costume is this is actually good as a lastminute costume. You already have your beach wear at home. The only thing that sort of required anything was to make the sun mask. We need a pop of fun for your halloween were talking about some cool cocktails coming up after this. But first, this is today on nbc. Time to take you into todays kitchen for sweet treats for halloween with a pop of a Little Something extra for the adults. Thats right. The kids arent the only ones who should be having fun. So invite your friends and neighbors over because jean benedict, author of cocktail pops and spiked frozen treats, which sounds like a great title, has something the grownups and the kids can enjoy. Congrats on your book. Im so excited to be here. Ive done a lot of cocktail pop segments and you inspired me to write the book. Im not kidding. Really . I wanted to even thank you in this book but i thought im not going to do that. I thought it was weird. Like a creeper. A little stalkerish. Yeah. There are 50 recipes, gorgeous photos, and tips and techniques to make your pops look their best. Okay. The first ones were going to do, these are these cosmo pops. Look how cute. I developed this window pane technique to make the garnish really stand out. Heres how you do it. You take some sugar glue. Want to do it, kathie lee . I was going to eat one. Youre going to eat one . Take some sugar glue and brush it on this little lime. And the sugar glue, theres a recipe in the book for that, too. Position it on the frozen pop. At bottom or the top . At the top. Basically, wherever you want the garnish to go. Then heres the trick. You put like a tablespoon of pop mixture back into the mold and then you plunge it down in you plunge it down in. And what happens is the fixture comes up around the mold and it almost like laminates the pop. So it doesnt have that blurry embedded look. You have to be careful so it doesnt go sliding off. Yeah. These with the red tharks great for a Vampire Party i think for halloween or oh, and then these pops, too. This is a kiwipomegranate vodka pop. Its got an eyeball for halloween. This is delicious. Thank you. This is a sonic gin and tonic pop. It has a blacklight quality to it because it has b2 in it, which is riboflavin. We should point out that tim stack is downstairs with the black light. They glow in the dark. Thats awesome. My goodness. Thats weird awesome. Explain why they glow in the dark. Basically a gin and tonic recipe, right . Your tonic, your water, your lime. But you put these b2 capsules in it. I dont know if you can see it. You get cut off after three. You get them at the health food store. Oh, my gosh theyre very strong and fun. You just mix up the recipe and then you dump in in the capsule in powdered form, you dump this right in and then it sort of dissolves. We only have 30 seconds, hate to say. Pumpkin mojito pops, bubble gum boo. Bubble gum pops. I want the mojito. Look how pretty they are. This is like a disco zom bao party. Basically, the book, 5. 99 on kindle. On amazon.
