compassion here's gadi schwartz >> reporter: over the last few weeks, 8-year-old connor kreitz couldn't wait for school to start. he decided he was ready for a big first step, ride the bus on his first day of class >> he didn't even seem nervous at all he was ready to go wide awake >> reporter: but once at school without his parents, connor's anxiety quickly became overwhelming, until a stranger, 8-year-old christian moore, reached out and took his hand. christian's mom capturing that moment in a picture in a post. i'm so proud of my son he's a kid with a big heart. the first day of school started off right. for connor's mother who constantly worries about how the world will treat her son, this was the one thing connor asked her for that she couldn't give him, a friend. >> i asked him if he had fun and he goes, i love him. >> reporter: now the two boys sharing an inseparable bond saying their message to others is simple.
