The dogs learn the scents of chemicals emitted from ovarian tissue and blood and they are rewarded when they stop in front of the cancer positive sample on this wheel. The goal is to develop an electronic nose specific to Ovarian Cancer that will duplicate what the dogs are naturally able to do. Barbara was diagnosed with advanced Ovarian Cancer.
