Once we received the call, because its close proximity to our substation, our deputies arrived within about 20 seconds of being called. Once they arrived they took the suspect into custody. And they began giving first aid to the victim. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he still remains in the hospital and being treated for injuries to both arms. He is expected to recover. Right now, we dont have much information on the suspect. He is not known to the Sheriffs Office. And we dont have any other history other than that. Investigators say the 40yearold man who is likely a transient didnt approach the other teens or say anything to them but randomly stabbed the 13yearold.
