San franciscos Public Health department is interviewing those who fill ill and is conducting lab tests on the food and candies at the center of the investigation. Preliminarily it appears this was a candy substance. Reporter could this have been a willful act to harmful . When you go into an investigation like this as a police officer, as a police department, thats something that you have to look at. You cant rule it out. At this point we have nothing to indicate that it was an intentional act. Reporter all day sunday the building remained open for events. The room where the incident happened used to celebrate a baptism. Neither the food nor the candies were prepared here, it was all catering. The victim is identified at 20yearold calvin reilly, a baseball player who went to san joaquin Delta College. Investigators are trying to piece together exactly how it happened. But they say he was shot sometime before 10 00 last night near the promenade at aquatic park at pickcadilly square. Its fair to say well be paying close attention to this area. The 18yearold who jumped was killed while tandem jumping with the instructor. He was from another country and skydiving for the first time. Authorities say members of his extended family watched in horror as the parachute failed to deploy. The two hit the ground together. Their bodies were recovered in a vineyard. The owner of the skydiving center says the instructor was very experienced with 700 previous jumps under his belt. More than a dozen sky divers have jumped in lodi in the past three decade. Security cameras. Police say its an important Crime Fighting tool. But some say cameras in one bay area city are making it easy for anyone to keep an eye on members of the public. Investigative reporter liz wagner explains. Reporter investigators in many cities use cameras like this one. Anyone can get their hands on pictures of people, their cars and cities. The city considered the photos to be public records that anyone can access if they ask. One resident says with the right tools, anyone can find out more about the people in the pictures. He says the information can be used to learn peoples travel patterns and he warns this could lead to an abuse of privacy. The police chief says the cameras are effective Crime Fighting tools. Especially in the mornings, but were about to see some changes as we get back into the week, which will include warmer temperatures on the way. Outside right now, as peggy mentioned, chilly at the coast in San Francisco. 67 degrees, not that bad. 80 with hazy skies toward livermore. 80 in downtown san jose. Right now in san jose we saw a high of 78 degrees. Average high should be in the low 80s. So below average temperatures continue around the south bay. In livermore, 86 was the high today, up from 82 yesterday. Currently 80 degrees there. For now looks like a lot of the low clouds have left parts of San Francisco. 67 degrees, actually jumping up briefly above the High Temperature of 66 earlier this afternoon. Across the north bay and toward the tri valley and east bay, numbers running a bit warmer than yesterday as the marine air, even though the sea breeze is out there today, it has compressed down to about 1500 feet thick. Thats about 500 feet less intense as it was on saturday, up to 2,000 feet. Now as the marine layer compresses, even though well see low clouds spilling inland once again tomorrow morning, the marine air impact across our interior valleys about to decrease through the next seven days. Tomorrow morning, low clouds and 83 degrees around san jose. Still 60s closer to San Francisco. North bay numbers into the 70s and mid80s. Tri valley, livermore tomorrow may get close to 90. An area of low pressure keeps things relatively mild as we head through we understadnesday. Then the second half of the week, High Pressure will build across california, leading to a jump in the sevenday forecast. Youll notice San Francisco climbing closer to the 70s approaching the start of next weekend. Perhaps the bigger change coming up for inland locations. Numbers staying about where they are right now through tuesday. But by next friday and saturday, some mid90s could be making a comeback.
