Reporter the needles on the pine trees turning brown then the pine trees eventually dying. We have evidence of the beatles boring in here. Reporter over the last several years of the drought, the beatles have killed hundreds of the parks pine trees leaving rustcolored needles as a calling card. The adult beatles attack and lay eggs. They just eat away at the trees and cut off the food supply. Reporter the the band of death is minuscule compared to the vast swath of tree deaths across the sierras and other parts of the state.
