And the suspects vehicle came down the driveway, rammed several of the patrol cars. One of the deputies fired at least one shot at the suspect car. The suspect vehicle continued down the roadway. Subsequently crashed. Reporter at that point, they say they issued a shelter in place order for the residents in what is a heavily wooded neighborhood. Telling them to stay inside and to lock their doors. The Sheriffs Emergency Response Team with assistance from many other Law Enforcement agencies then moved in, and after a search that lasted several hours, the suspect was found and arrested. No injuries were reported. In some of the commotion, though, another man was actually detained but it turned out he was simply a neighbor who was witness to the incident and subsequently released. It happened in East San Jose about three or four hours ago in the allen rock neighborhood. The male victims were rushed to the hospital, and theyre expected to survive. Police are looking for a motive. This evening, police say an east bay city is on alert. Two separate shootings took place within hours. A man was shot killed near where 580 and 80 meet. And a woman was shot and killed. They do not think the homicides were connected. There was a time deadly shootings in richmond seemed fairly common place, but not anymore. These are the first homicides in that city in five months. There hasnt been this type of a time difference between cases in this distance in quite some time. Its been at least tenplus years. Richmond police say they havent made any arrests if either of these cases and admit they dont have many leads. Aside from these two homicides, Violent Crime has been down across the board in richmond. In san francisco, the police chief is expected to hold a meeting after the latest officer involved shooting. They opened fire on a suspect in the bertles heights neighborhood. The man was killed. His name and age have not been released. Three teenagers arrested and one remains in custody for the burglary of a palo alto home. No one was home at the time. A neighbor called police. And they found two of the suspects about a half hour later on hamilton avenue. Police found the third suspect at his home in sunny vail. Think arrested lugos of palo alto. The two other juvenile suspected were charged and released into their parents custody, customary in such cases. New report tonight that the california dmv may have been hacked. It involved online payments from last august 2nd to january 31st of this year. The stolen data includes the card number, Expiration Date and that threedigit Security Code on the back of your card. The exact number of stolen card numbers is not known. Banks and Credit Card Companies are alerting customers about the compromised cards. The spokesman for the dmv said theres no evidence of a direct breach, but theyve opened an investigation and is working with state and federal Law Enforcement as a precaution. Making the grade. Candidates running for mayor in san jose made their case for supporting education and helping students succeed. Ten people will be on the ballot for the mayors race. Five candidates showed up at the forum at santana row. The first question, what role could the next mayor play in schools and education in san jose. Anything that the mayor can do to support safety in our schools, safety in our neighborhoods, the idea that all of our students need to succeed no matter what their path in life is, that needs to be done. In Washington State at least three people are dead and eight injured after a massive landslide. A milelong slide, about six houses, about 55 miles north of seattle. Heavy rainfall is believed to have caused the slide. People are being warned they may need to be evacuated at a moments notice.
