Well take you into the east bay where the wind has been going a little bit at times here. Were not seeing anything overly strong out of the northwest five to ten. That wind is going to be intensifying as we get the fourth storm system in here. Lets take you into the timing. This is of course the most important thing when you try to plan out the week and also when you get the gutters cleaned out or replace the windshield wipers. Lets go ahead and activate things here. Tuesday evening well have cloud cover increasing but no rainfall, still dry at 6 00 p. M. As we head throughout wednesday morning, though, youll notice the rainfall building off to the north by 9 00 a. M. A few possible early showers but hold off on some rainfall until we head throughout 6 00, 7 00, 8 00 wednesday night. Orange and yellow is intense rainfall that could set off a few areas of thunderstorms across the bay area. As we head throughout thursday morning, well start to clear out from the first storm system but then of course, as we mentioned, a onetwo punch. A second storm system will be on the way as well. So lets go ahead and take you to the timing on this one. As you can see thursday evening it lines up offshore and then that starts to move in as we head throughout friday morning at 6 00 a. M. Possibly heavier areas but likely the heaviest into los angeles. It doesnt mean well not see a lot of rainfall. Looks like the bulls eye at this point will be to the south. Overall, first storm system anywhere from a half inch to 1. 5 inches expected. Second storm system arriving on friday. 3 4 to 2 inches at this point. Im pinpointing no doubt the highest risk at this point at the coast, also the Santa Cruz Mountains will have gusting winds, isolating flooding possible and the chance here for a few thunderstorms in the forecast. Lets go into the high crmicro forecast. Temperatures down three to five degrees. San jose 71, belmont 68, San Francisco close to 70 but not expecting widespread 70s like we had throughout today. Up into the north bay, east bay and tri valley again cloud cover on the increase. Well see temperatures close to 70. I think the warmest spot will be in the tri valley, livermore at 72. So again, rain returns by wednesday, also on friday. The last thing i want to pinpoint like we showed you in the 5 00 show is the wind. Take a look down here. This magenta color is wind gust that could top 50 Miles Per Hour at the coast. Santa cruz by wednesday evening and a second wind event expected as we head throughout friday morning, as well. Power outages could be likely with both storm systems this week. Well continue to track it, you guys. Thank you, jeff. Lets turn our attention to sports and bring in jerrgeraud moncu moncure. I guess where there is smoke, there is fire. A lot happening today. Absolutely raj and jessica. A story that wont seem to go away. Fresh information on the rumor trade, discussions between the browns and 49ers regarding jim hard bow. It would have been a shocking deal because of harbaughs success with the 49ers but no trade since jon gruden was traded from the raiders in 2002. Today 49ers ceo told Sports Illustrated the browns reached out to me and we had no interest pursuing it. That comment comes off the heels of sundays comment from browns owner jimmy to usa today quote, there was an opportunity there and it didnt materialize. These statements appear at odds from the tweet friday saying it wasnt true. Coach harbaugh followed that up with Text Messages echoing the comment. Today to try to get to the bottom of this, jim kozimor spoke with mike of pro football. Com who spoke the story last week. Lets get a little background and timeline on this, mike. When did you first find out the browns made contact or had interest in jim harbaugh . Well, i was in indianapolis for the first couple of days of the scouting combine and it was friday afternoon i first caught wind of this news and with all the media just swarming around Lucas Oil Stadium and pretty much everywhere else in downtown indianapolis, i was concerned it was going to come out quickly. I got to work trying to get it to the point where i felt comfortable number one it happened and number two, i had what i needed from one or both of the teams to turn it into an item. Lets start to do timeline on the actual event then. After the nfc championship event game. Jim harbaugh said he talked to the browns and it was about quote some of our coaches. After that point, no one really followed up. They assumed it was about assistance. When did the browns make contact with the 49ers regarding jim harbaugh . I cant tell you specifically when it happened other than it happened, but the window was not a very extended one because harbaugh not available until after the season. I get that would not stop the browns from contacting the 49ers and having discussions while the season was on going. I cant imagine the 49ers wanting delve into that. Were looking at roughly four or five days between the end of the 49ers season and the browns naming mike patton as the new head coach. I dont think its very difficult to identify the beginning and end of the range of dates when this could have happened. The raiders cornerback taiwan jones with a threeyear extension keeping jones with the silver and black through 2017. The extension is worth 4. 35 million. Hell make 650,000 this season.
