You can see weve got mainly clear fogfree conditions in san jose. Still 60 for now. But it should be cooling into the mid40s a little bit later on tonight. Temperatures around San Francisco 58 degrees. 61 currently in oakland. Not too much wind out there. But the wind direction has changed overnight into this morning. Light offshore breeze, now the sea breeze starting to pick back up. That should eventually pull some low clouds towards the coast. Next 24 hours, speaking of the low clouds, here they come. Right along the coast, spilling locally inland tomorrow morning, along the patchy north and east bay fog. Well see for the Early Morning hours. And mostly sunny for the afternoon. But some patches of low clouds perhaps lingering south of pillar point dur ing the day on sunday afternoon. No worries about rain for now. Storm track will stay mainly north of eureka, at least for the next few days. However, things are changing here in the Central Pacific that will bring some rather wet and windy conditions our way by wednesday. From now through roughly tuesday, were going to see temperatures cooling a bit. High pressure will weaken, but hold its ground enough to keep rain out of the forecast. Come wednesday, were going to have a deep area of low pressure offshore that is going to bring in one round of locally heavy rain on wednesday. On wednesday, maybe a brief break thursday. A couple of days of this thing sitting over the waters is eventually going to start to push some big waves towards the coast. So the next three days looks fine for outdoor plans. But we will see more clouds on tuesday. Then the rain comes in. Midweek, everything changes. Were going to see the wind pick up probably at least 20 to 30 miles per hour. Maybe some higher gusts. Thats the onetwo punch for wednesday. Then thursday the storm track should shift into the north bay. Most of the bay area should get a brief break. Then friday into saturday, here we go again. Another shot of rain coming in, and big surf on the coast. Unlike systems weve seen before, this one will have more wind and big surf coming in towards the end of the week. All right. Thank you very much, rob. And well be right back. It may come as a bit of a surprise to some people in Silicon Valley where the keyboard is king, but california has decided to keep cursive in the classroom. California is one of only a handful of states that says it is important to keep teaching kids the skill of cursive writing. It has been a growing trend across the nation not to teach kids to write in cursive. Critics say it is a waste of time and out of date in a digitized society. But supporters say it helps develop motor skills, reinforces literacy and gives students a way to develop their own unique stamp of identity. California educators say it will remain a third grade classroom staple, at least for now. And well be right back with sports. Welcome back. A trip to the pac12 championship game is on the line.
