She was one of the 49 People Killed by the gunman before he, too, was killed in a shootout with police. 53 more people are recovering this evening from their injuries. At least five of them remain in critical condition. A dancer, a theme park worker, an accountant. Tonight, were learning more about those who lost their lives from the people who knew and loved them. They parted ways when shelton moved to San Francisco for school and k. J. Moved to orlando to be with family. K. J. Just started working at pulse as a bouncer two weeks ago. I know that in her last moments it was to help people. Shes never been a coward. Shed never run away from anything. She would do anything she could to help people. I know thats exactly what she did that night. Reporter she case k. J. Was also her best friend. K. J. s life cut short at the age of 37 and now her best friend wants to make sure her spirit lives on.
