The storm moved to Southern California today. Well, now to a double tragedy in the bay area on this Christmas Day. A car crash killed two people and seriously injured an uber driver in pacifica. The chp says the toyota was going the wrong way on highway one early this morning when it hit together car. Nissan the driver of the nissan, worked for uber. The toyota driver and a passenger in the nissan died. The uber driver is hospitalized in serious condition. The chp has not said if drugs or alcohol were involved. Uber issued this statement, were sdeeply saddened by this terrible tragedy. This Christmas Day, our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those killed and with the driver and his loved ones. A manhunt for a suspect in a deadly stabbing. Police say they found a plan with at least one stab wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. Investigators are not released the victims identity. Donations for coming in for tornado victims in the south. Clothing, food, Household Items and christmas presents, all collected in just a day and a half in springs, mississippi, which was hit hard. Tonight, Las Vegas Casinos are asking the city to find a way to make sidewalks safer along the strip. The request comes after a woman drove her car into a crowd of people last sunday, killing one person, injuring dozens of others. Casino owners say the precautions in place now, like pedestrian bridges and widened sidewalks are not good enough. Changes are coming to Sonoma County transit. The agencies announced new rules that start with the new year. Adult fares will increase between santa rosa and the other zones from 5 to 65 cents. Student fares will apply to bus riders 18 years old and younger instead of those grades k12, and senior riders will account for those over 65 years old. The changes take effect january 17th. Like we saw in the last 24 hours. Generally less than a quarter inch of rain, and for the sierra, should see another couple inches of snow, maybe 2 to 4 inches of snow from late sunday to monday. So more on the way for the sierra in terms of adding to the snow pack. For the next five days, one more system to get through. That could be it for 2015 as we approach new years eve. Temperatures should start to warm back up, climbing to the upper 50s as we approach thursday. A chance of rain sunday to monday for San Francisco. Oakland cool and chilly as we wrap up the weekend. Many families in the area should have water very soon. An antioch family lost their belongings after their Christmas Tree wend up in flames. A fire that nearly burned their 4yearold son and dog, both sleeping a few feet away. The family tells us what is next. This is where it started. This is the living room. Just three days before christmas, samantha was home with her husband and four children when she heard crackling. The familys Christmas Tree somehow caught fire. The tree went up in like less than a minute. The living room engulfed. Samanthas husband had to jump out of a back window, and three of their kids ran outside. I remember counting, one, two, three. I was like, where is logan . 4yearold logan was asleep on the couch. Just feet from the flaming fir tree. My son was right there. And he was just seconds, it would be a completely different story.
