Casual and friendly, Manny Sanchez looks like a parent or a staff member at the church of highland school, but the former longtime Law Enforcement officer is actually an armed undercover agent for the kingdom group, a highered security firm. I keep everything concealed. Like, does it look like yoohave anything with me . No. So thats how i try to keep it. At our insistence, the agents revealed their weapons to us, not only to confirm theyre armed but also to show the type of response agents are capable of in a worst case scenario, such as a shooter on campus. The school said parents and staff are well aware of the agents. Its been a touchy issue for a lot of schools. We debated it quite a bit, but we thought at this point in time, with whats going on, it was the prudent thing to do. Its undercover in a standpoint of not sticking out. Blending in to the environment. As you know, our team are armed here. Thats important. But they also are part of the culture here. So theyre part of the staff.
