But it took them extra time to get there. It was coming from station 34 about 6 miles further. The engine is set up at station 34 because its home station was closed on december 23rd because of mold problems. Its the possible delays that has the Firefighters Union concerned about when station 16 will be reopened and when the engine can be put back. Normally four to six minutes to be on scene. Now its probably twice as long to get water on the fire. Reporter the union also points out that even though station 16 has a rescue truck on hand its not equipped to fight fires. I do know theres been multiple fires. Some of them going up to multiple alarm fires when theyve had to wait for water. I think that the perpetrators can be identified and apprehended, they should serve jail time. Reporter the Animal Services say the owner of the dogs could face animal cruelty charges. So the overall trend has an area of High Pressure overhead. Thats going to continue to strengthen. Thats going to produce hot air and move it right on top of california. The other key thing is help to drive some offshore winds and thats going to bring us some 70s. So another extreme shift expected. Then get ahold of this. Looks like a storm systems going to sneak up from the south as we head throughout next week. Its going to be more humid, also warmer. So we are looking at the possibility of rain, maybe thunderstorms beginning on tuesday. Well former east bay Police Officer is headed to jail for his role in an elder abuse case. He was sentenced to two months in jail today. The former Police Commander pled guilty as part of a plea deal. In exchange prosecutors dismissed additional charges of grand theft and elder abuse.
