Further north in burlingame work to clear two downed trees along the busy el camino rial and broadway intersection. The trees were uprooted by strong winds and fell across the road. And speaking of lights, pg e crews have them at the ready, because they will likely take a little longer into the evening to get all these power poles back up to speed. More than 1500 people in the south bay remain without power. In the east bay 1100 people still in the dark. 130 customers in the north bay without power and another 1100 in San Francisco and the peninsula waiting for their power to be turned back on. A third person has died in Northern California because of the storm. The tree fell onto a home this morning in redding killing a woman, trapping a child. Thats when he noticed the interior of the jeep was on fire. He sprang into action filling a bucket with water. We was pouring water on our car. After that was out, he looked behind us and says hey that car behind us is really on fire. They arrested a suspect in connection with one of the fires and are trying to determine if he is linked to nine recent vehicle fires in the south bay. North bay, east bay and south bay will be under this warning through 9 00 on thursday. May have some damage to sensitive plants and well also expect patchy spots of ice potentially on some of the roadways. Otherwise, it is common sense, but were not used to dressing in weather for the 20s and low 30s. Make sure to dress in layers. The ghoflove and scarf is always a good idea.
