Inappropriately. It allegedly happened while he was working as a handyman at an apartment complex. Police are asking for the publics help. This is what it looked like when thousands of people came out for the inaugural game at levis stadium. The earthquakes kickoff was a trial run for bigger crowds heading to 49er games soon. Tonight, some monday morning quarterbacking going on about what can be improved and what went wrong. Marianne favro is live at the stadium, which had its firstever 49ers practice today. The day for the First Time Ever the 49ers practiced on the field at the new levis stadium. Colin kaepernick threw his first pass with 10,000 supporters watching. However, those fans will also be watching how the niners handle some of the issues that came up during saturdays first real test of the teams new home. An estimated 49,000 fans gathered to watch the earthquakes beat the seattle sounders. Most say they found parking no problem, although it came at a cost of 30 to 45. But some folks living around the stadium say they found too many people trying to park in their neighborhood. There were people parking in our carports and it just got way crazy and out of hand. We couldnt park in our own streets. Reporter police say they plan to beef up the number of officers monitoring the neighborhoods when the 49ers play their inaugural game at levis stadium in less than two weeks. They also say if you ignore the signs and dont have a sticker like this on your car, youll likely return from the game to find your car has been towed. The biggest gripe saturday night came from people who took light rail home. Some fans say they waited for more than an hour to catch a train, and then they faced more delays caused by pedestrians. Once in awhile we have to delay a train so we could get people or cars off of the tracks. Reporter the crowds were larger than expected but say theyll have extra trains ready as soon as the game lets out. We do want to point out that the cost of parking at candlestick was about the same as it is here, still, a lot of people on saturday night complained of sticker shock. Also, Santa Clara Police arrested two people here outside of the game, one for public intoxication and the other person was for an outstanding warrant. The 49ers certainly are going to be busy. They have less than two weeks before they host nearly 59,000 people here at this stadium for the 49er game. Reporting live in santa clara, marianne favro, nbc bay area news. Some kinks to work out. Starting today, meters in redwood city raised significantly. The raise goes from 25 cents to a dollar in the area, roughly boarded by main and market. The new rate approved back in june to turn over parking turnover, making it easier for shortterm visitors to find parking when they come in to dine or shop or take a movie in at the fox theater.
