San francisco General Hospital tonight is partially blaming the Sheriffs Office in the case of a patient who disappeared from the hospital and then was found dead at the hospital three weeks later. The attorney for the family told the chronicle that Hospital Leaders asked at least four times for deputy to search the hospital after 57yearold Lynne Spalding disappeared. The Sheriffs Department has not responded to the questioning. Her body was found in an outdoor stairwell at the hospital on october 8th. In santa rosa were waiting to learn how much it will cost to fix the damage by protesters. Worker had just finished pouring the concrete in font of the Sheriffs Department when the protesters arrived. Andy lopez had a replica firearm in his hand that looked like a real Assault Rifle when they shot him. In the saut bay a nightclub employee is in the hospital tonight after record edly telling people in the parking lot to turn down the music. Police say the 33yearold victim along with Club Bouncers came out to the parks lot because the people were blaring their music. One of the men pulled out and shot the employee. Witnesses described one of the cars as a light colored newer model fourdoor sedan. The second car is a dark colored light 1990 chevy camaro. The victim is expected to survive. The old eastern span of the bay bridge was put to use by First Responders in town for training. More than 5,000 people took part in the twoday training. It included responding to a simulated car crash and a suspicious package. Responders were equipped with everything from fire engines. The two day event is called urban shield, the largest Law Enforcement exercise in the country. A man who led police on a chase is dead. It started at a house in ridge crest. Police say sergio mu nez killed a woman and took off with two hostages in his there trunk. The officers opened fire on him when he stopped the car and then began firing to into the trunk of his car. The hostages survived. Saudi arabia is the only country in the world that denies woman to drive. The protest was small but many women hope it will add to changes. Around 60 women took to the roads in saudi aera today. They were called on to do errands, not to do anything dramatic as a sign of protest. But of course its incredibly hard to verify how many women took part. A number of women have uploaded clips to the internet to suggest that they were driving today. But its impossible to know that it happened today. The background to all of this is that women are not given licenses in saudi arabia. Those who can drive earned their licenses overseas. The protests have taken three 23 years ago and since then there has not been much progress. Were hoping this time its going to work. There is however some change in saudi arabia, helping women perhaps live more equal rights. In 2015 women will be able to vote in elections and seek election. Theres some movement there and the hope is for the activists that these pro tests today could lead to wider protests across the cocountry and greater freedom for women. The shootings thand last night in rose dale. And authorities held a press conference this evening. Kimberly tere is in the newsroom. Five officers and a federal agent were injured in the stand off, either hit by shrapnel or shot. Four of them have been treated or released, including that federal immigration officer. One of the Police Officers remains in the hospital in serious condition this evening but is expected to survive. Last night our community experienced what can happen in any community when a violent wanted felon is completely committed to not going back to jail. Police say this 32yearold was loaded into an ambulance, taken to a medical evaluation and then booked into the jail overnight. This ended a nearly 10hour long standoff that stranded at 3 00 in the afternoon on friday. Police say two officers were on a different operation when they spotted durand what was wanted on a patrol violation. When they got out of the police car to arrest him, police say he took off on a bicycle. At that time there were shots exchanged at 3 04 in the afternoon. The agent was injured at that time and the officers put out the call of officer down. Police say they had one other interaction with durand before he barricaded himself in a rose dale home. That house was occupied by a mother and a small child along with a father. They were able to get out of the house through two separate locations. Police say the s. W. A. T. Officers moved in and that pieces when durand shot through the window injuring the other s officers. A robot was reportedly sent in to relay instructions.
