Two years ago was the burn that got out of hand. That closed the highway. Last year was the virus that closed yosemite. Every year something is hitting us hard. Reporter the Government Shutdown had forced yosemite to close. The second blow to this community where businesses are still trying to recover from the rim fire after losing money from two peak tourist months. They have to make all their money in six months before the weather changes. How much would you say you lost percentage wise . 50 . Reporter the Mariposa County chamber of commerce says it will hurt mountain workers. They are losing up to 300,000 a day with hundreds of thousands more lost in the community outside the park. Reporter the owner of the hotel says the rim fire cost her 30 on the hotel side and employees hours are slash ed in half. Theyre trying to figure out all this. The accident is at 28th street and east julian. It appears one vehicle, a dark suv, was involved. Theres some front end damage to the bus. Three students are being treated with minor injuries and have been transported to a local hospital. When we get more information about this accident, we will bring it to you. Happening now, fire crews are mopping up a three alarm fire in sunnyvale. We have pictures that were taken about an hour ago. After the fire burned through most of the apartment buildings top floor, the 12th floor was evacuated. The fire is now under control. A rare sight with a happy ending. A small plane made an Emergency Landing on a busy street. The planes engines started to sputter about a half mile after takeoff. Controls, but the instructor took over. When he couldnt restart the engine, he looked for a place to land away from power lines. Its a difficult landing, but he did it safely. The skills are there. Quick thinking. The plane was towed back for a diagnosis and federal authorities have been notified. This wasnt the first Emergency Landing or crash near reed hill view airport. In 2007, a single engine crashed near the east ridge mall. It ended up on some trees into the mall parking lot. I got to hold one of the little guys this afternoon. He was so cute. Their mother is doing well too. They call her bristol, the german shepard is thought to be between 8 months and a year old. She was found tied to a bench in lake shore park. She had already given birth to one pup that didnt make it. A Police Officer found her and drove her to a veterinary hospital. She had another pup in the car that died. She gave birth to seven other healthy pups. Shes done an amazing job. Reporter hospital employees are trying to find a Foster Parent for bristol and her seven pups. The dog had no microchip or tags. The owner has no come forward. Several Police Officers and even some employees here have expressed that they want to adopt some of these pups. It looks like this story is going to have a happy ending. Many undocumented immigrants drive any way, but now theyll have to take a drivers test and get insurance coverage. The state begins issuing them in january of 2015. Yesterday the verdict. Today his reaction. Were hearing from conrad murray. The jury ruled aeg live was not liable for jacksons death. Dr. Murray says he cried when he heard yesterdays verdict. I cried because for once the world was allowed to hear some of the facts as it pertained to this matter. I was very relieved. Murray was convicted of Involuntary Manslaughter of jacksons death in 2011 and sentenced to four years in jail. Hes expected to be released in a few weeks due to the overcrowding issue.
