Even chp officer chris was caught off guard by the loud buzzing alarm coming from his cell phone when the san diego Sheriffs Department requested its amber alert for two abducted children. Through the wr wireless Emergency Alerts program, amber alerts are now sent to all cell phones whether you sign up for the alerts or not. It worked. It we should have done that from the beginning when phones were in the system. On social media some folks were put off asking the ctia how to opt out. Others asking that the alerts be easier to access and more informative. It can be used also by Government Agencies to provide information in a disaster and by the office of the president. If its being used for that purpose, i guess it should go to everyone. It would be valuable information to know if there was a disaster. Hes going to try to figure out why because as i mentioned, amber alerts are not the only kind of emergency information that are going to be coming through that wireless Emergency Alert system.
