The big thing that people are talking about, security. Unprecedented for the super bowl. Some fans say it is difficult getting in and around. This is what people are seeing, Armored Vehicleets all over town. Some say it is nice to see this. Makes them feel safer. A lot of people taking pictures with the military vehicles. Meanwhile, the road is closed. Vp trainings are going by the stadium but nobody is allowed on the trains that pass by the stadium. Just as precaution. Tens of thousands of fans at super bowl 50. Military, police. Super bowl is a tier 1 event. Second highest authority from the feds on down. Black hawk helicopters circling the fields. From the ground, fans could see military perched on rooftops. Thats a level up. Armored vehicles acted as a roadblock. In some cases a photo op for excited football fans. You have to get out two miles away. They wont let you in with your car or anything. And you know what . Its a good thing. Special teams looking for explosives. Patrolling the area near levi stadium. Yesterday every vta train was checked and cleared. All about their nose. All the big game of hide and seek. Santa clara police saying in addition to the heavy Police Presence in uniform there are also plainclothed officers in the crowd. All hands on deck. And we will be vigilant. If we see something suspicious, folks need to report it. And most welcome the extra security check. I feel safe if anything goes down, i think it is the safest place is the super bowl. A nofly zone has been in effect since 2 30 this this afternoon and in the past half an hour we have seen black halama helicopters going in and around the stadium. Also for the drone fans out there who have them at home there is a no drone zone for 32 miles surrounding levi stadium for the entire day. A lot of security i just saw a group of sniff dogs, bomb dogs walking by with their trainers and still under security even though the game is under way. As you heard michelle, driving down here was a feat of itself. 101 of course being the direct straight shot to get here to the stadium so that is where most of the security sees people coming into the stadium. Hitting a little bit of traffic, you can say that. And the Mountain View transit center, very popular spot with people here in the south bay. Very popular on this day and things went smoothly there as well. Yes. It went smoothly. Vta said 10 Million People on lightrail or bus. For them it meant less stress and more fun. Scores of fans ditching their cars and opting for public transit. Taking caltrain to the Mountain View transit center. It was wonderful. Wonderful. Very safe. Lots of room. Very clean. Unfortunately a couple of bronco fans. Trying to make a good youre so excited, you cant even get a straight sentence out. And once those panthers and broncos fans get off the caltrain, they will get to the train here and hop on the lightrail for what we are told is a smoothe ride it levi stadium. Thank you very much. Typically, several stops in between Mountain View and levi stadium. According to vta, today those plans were changed. Going to the Great America stop and let off there. Which meant broncos and panthers fans can focus on more important things. Well, if they complete a snap it will be a better game than the last one. Were excited to win this time. Three guys were hitch hiking to isnt clara with no tickets in sight but that didnt dampen their spirit we want to go to the super bowl, yeah, we want to get in. They said they were going. They are broncos fans, but that didnt bother them at all. Talk about dedication. Main problem is they didnt have cash it pay for tickets so they were hoping for charity that somebody might toss over a couple of tickets for free. Good luck with that one. If fans turn out, it does bring luck, broncos have a good leg up and seem to be a sea of orange and blue in the parking lot. Maybe just geography, easier to get here to california from colorado rather than carolina. But we did find a panther. She said they are going home with the trophy. Can you count on it. Chp said a white chevrolet driver was driving south of market area. The an officer followed the driver where a short chase began. The owner said today business was up 100 to compared to a usual sunday. A spike in customers he has seen all month. We have been here the past two weeks. New traffic coming through. Owner said he sold so many margaritas and beers he had to run out to get more alcohol for his restaurant. But not all businesses saw a surge. The owner of butter and brews said they had less than usual because road closures kept many locals away. But businesses say they plan to stay open late and hope to get the super bowl crowd coming in after the game, coming here to celebrate.
