Were told that this goo is not petroleum and no one reported it. The department of fish and wildlife is investigating the situation and putting the substance through a series of tests. Wild boars are known for ripping up lawns in several south bay communities. The city council will decide on a controversial measure to continue to trap and kill those wild boars. They cause widespread damages at golf course as they search for grub. They were such a nuisance in 2014, residents were allowed to hire licensed trappers. Since then 14 pigs have been caught and killed in south san jose. The city council will decide on tuesday whether to continue the ordinance which is set to expire in february. We feel its working. It hasnt caused any harm to residences. We havent heard any complaints and we feel that it is starting to work. So we want to make sure it continues. Now, a reminder from city leaders, they want people to know the law does not allow you to shoot a boar in your backyard should you see one. You must hire someone to trap and kill the animal. Two fishermen are safe after being rescued from their capsized boat at the Alviso Marina county park at about 12 30 today. The two men were not injured. California is considering a new plan to fix roadways across the state and is already drawing criticism. The plan is to charge drivers for the number of miles that they drive. Governor jerry brown says california has a 59 billion of backlog needed for maintenance on bridges and highways. Critics say hybrid and electric drivers should be rewarded, not penalized, and that heavier vehicles should pay more because, of course, they are harder on the roads. And on monday afternoon, the ocean retreated far enough to lift the curtain on a hidden beach. So Walking Around on the beach in this area is a rarity because usually it doesnt go back that far. Reporter in between cliff house and seal rock, people came. It drew me here from santa rosa. Reporter to walk a beach that rarely exists. Usually you wouldnt be standing here. Youd be in 6, 7, 10 feet of water. Reporter people climbed where they normally cant in the shadow of the great cliff. Never was able to come down here. You can see where all of the moss and that green has grown on the rock there. I havent been to the back of the cliff house in 36 years. Reporter this actually occurs several times a year but often during the night. The unusual daytime phenomenon provided a different angle to view this wellworn world.
