Well the first thing you notice is it is hazy here, but the bay area air Quality Management district declared today a spare the air day because of more cars on the road because of smog due to the beginning of the work week and high temperatures. But now it says, that the Monterey County fires are compounding things. Air Quality Management district says smoke and tiny particles from those fires are being pushed by winds into the south bay and may reach the north bay by as early as tomorrow. Now so far, most of that material is staying aloft but they say that winds could shift and if that happens, the Health Hazards would be immediate. Smoke from wildfires cannot tan par tick lat matter and it is harmful because it can cause Immediate Health impacts so it can trigger an asthma attack, worsen respiratory conditions but even in someone who is healthy, it can cause watery eyes, itchy throat, coughing.
