We have really good information about the dogs and their behavior in the shelter. Our volunteers are good at making a good connection for the family. Many come in thinking they want a certain type of dog, but we can fit them with the right temperament. Yes, she would be good for an active family because she is a puppy, a lot of people think they want a pubby, but they are a lot of work. We have really good two and threeyearold dogs. All of the dogs at our shelter have been tested with other dogs. When they get into the community theyre able to take the dogs with them out into dog parks and be social with them. We have volunteers that walk them around, so they have been exposed to the community before we place them in a home. So if youre not able to adopt a pet, what is there you do to help. Absolutely. We encourage people to volunteer at the shelter. Its also a great way to learn about the animals, and some of our volunteers volunteer because they are looking to adopt a pet.
