Many people were in a panic packing up cars and trying to leave town. Hes hoping to fly back home even though the local airport was still out of electricity as of last night. Now, the 22 students and teachers from Redwood High School are now in panama hoping to board a plane to sfo at some point. Today or tomorrow. Back here in the bay area, a woman is wanted after a bat attack outside a liquor store in berkeley. The fight broke out in Downtown Berkeley about 2 00 yesterday afternoon. Police say a woman hit a man in the head and then fled. The victims injuries are not considered life threatening. Police right now investigating the citys 12th homicide of the year just before 7 00 p. M. On lyndale avenue. The suspects walked up to the victim and shot him and then reportedly, according to police, fled away in a car. Our cameras were back at the scene the following day as officers continue their investigation. So far, police have not released a vehicle description. More than 100 people right now looking for a new place to live after their south bay apartment complex went up in flames. Flames tore through the twin pine manor apartments trapping several people on their balconies. The entire 81unit complex has been declared uninhabitable. Most of the people displaced are staying at the sunnyvale senior center. Residents only had a short time to go in and grab their belongings. Were giving them 15, 20 minutes right now. Its safe but not ideal conditions. Were escorting them to the apartments while they get some essentials. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. A live look now in ocean beach, yesterday the beach was just packed with people. We could see a few people out there right now and with all the sunshine, i expect as the day goes on and these temperatures go up, there will be more people out there. Now its 67 degrees in San Francisco. North bay, 72 and south bay at 75. As we get a close look at the south bay now from all of the underground sites in morgan hill, its 77 degrees. Santa clara at 82 degrees. Lets break it down and go hour by hour for san jose. At 2 00, were at 87 degrees. Upper 80s there and then drops back to 83 degrees during that evening commute. 83 degrees and still a lot of sun and then by this evening, well start to see the clouds moving back in and temperatures dropping into the upper 60s. So a slow fall in those temperatures by this evening. But look at where were headed today, up to 91 degrees today in gilroy. Palo alto, 88 degrees. Mill valley, 81 degrees. Well even have low 90s today in spots like fair field and brentwood and livermore were up to 85. Still very warm. Compare that to the record highs for today and in livermore, the record is at 90 degrees set back in 1939. Oakland, the record is 82 degrees in 1977. Now, many spots will be close but we will not see records everywhere but i think in oakland and san jose, we will have some new records set. Well be watching those records very closely as it continues to rise. Looking now at the clouds out in the pacific, this will be the thing that changes our weather for the next couple of days. Bringing us some cooler temperatures and clouds, maybe even a couple of spotty showers in the north bay by tomorrow but it does look like many of us will see that rain. It wont be until friday all across the bay area but clearing by the weekend and the possibility of at least a tenth of an inch of rain for most of the bay area. In santa rosa, looking at about a quarter of an inch of rain, the temperature trend will be coming way down after reaching 88 degrees today. Well be slightly above average for tomorrow and wednesday and then look at what happens towards the end of the week. On friday, up to 65 degrees, which is going to be cooler than average. So after some rain on friday, we will have it all clearing out in time for saturday and sunday. You can make plans to get outside and it will be in some spots about 20 degrees cooler than it was just this past weekend but we will see some more dry weather returning to the bay area.
