Our weather is getting much better. Lets turn to kari and the forecast. Yeah. We had all that hot air blowing in from las vegas, didnt we . And were now getting rid of that. So now as we take a live look at sunol we see the high thin clouds streaming in. Thats kind of the sign that were getting ready for some changes in our weather with the weather system just to the south of us. Look at all the microclimates now. Temperatures in the 70s all across the bay area. And were already in the upper 70s in the east bay. Even hitting some low 80s in the south bay now. In gilroy its 82 degrees. And in parts of san jose and willow glen now its 80 degrees. North bay at 74 degrees. So a mix of sun and clouds and more clouds today. And the temperatures will be held down just a few degrees. And as we go into the rest of the day it looks like well start to see a little bit more activity here on the radar. They do start to bring some of those isolated showers and storms into our area later on this evening. And more cloud cover once again that will keep our temperatures down. As we head into late tonight well start to see those showers moving into the south bay and possibly moving around the coastal areas too. As High Pressure continues to move away, were backing off of that hot weather we had to start off the week. And as this area of low pressure moves in well feel an increase in humidity. Once again a chance of some isolated showers and storms starting tonight, continuing into early tomorrow. And then well dry things out with some cooler temperatures. But still very warm today up to 88 degrees today in san jose. Palo alto 87 degrees. The castro will be at 76 degrees. 90 in napa. And 91 degrees in pittsburgh while oakland tops out at 83. Well see 93 today in danville. With the humidity of course it will still feel very uncomfortable. In the futurecast though we will have some relief. This weakening cold front will be moving in by saturday it passes. And it does bring in the chance of some rain. Looks like it kind of fizzles out after it moves past the north bay. So maybe some rain there and turning cooler. Well all feel that with the possibility of some trace amounts of rain, but this is better than nothing. This is what computer models are picking up on now. Maybe 0. 05 of rain over the next couple of days. Temperatures will be in the 70s and low 80s. And then as it all clears out on sunday weather thats about normal for october, highs in the 70s and lower 80s. Back to you, laura and scott. So warm still, thanks so much. And this will bring us some changes as we go into the evening, possibly overnight hours. Picking up on a couple of isolated showers and storms around Santa Barbara, but the main part of this system is well offshore and spinning some clouds into our area. And looking at the hour by hour forecast in san jose, a mixture of sun and clouds and temperatures still very warm above normal reaching into the mid80s. Then later on tonight mostly cloudy and temperatures that will stay mild in the upper 60s. And we may also pick up on an isolated storm. The futurecast shows that possibility of with radar and satellite look like. Im going to stop it here at 7 30 because we do see more clouds moving in. And then we start to see the possibility of wet weather here in the south bay as well as the far east bay. And then we wont see that all across the bay area, but once again any little bit of rain will be an improvement over the hot weather weve had for the start of the week. So this low pressure system moving in, isolated showers and storms, but definitely an increase in humidity. And well feel that as we go into tomorrow as well. Rain chances tapering off after tomorrow morning. Then another system moves in. This will be a weakening cold front. And it looks like as it moves in early on saturday could bring a little bit of some rain for the north bay. But all of us turning cooler, so a couple of chances of rain in the forecast. The one tonight could bring maybe 0. 03 and then as we get the next system moving in a little bit more just light amounts of rain. Nothing that will be busting the drought as we go into the next several days. But we are shaking this high heat and trading it for humidity and the possibility of a couple showers heading into this weekend. Our temperatures coming down into the upper 70s for most of us. San francisco 68 degrees, 83 degrees in the trivalley on saturday. Sunday it all clears out. Well bring temperatures down a few more degrees and it will be mostly in the 70s and some low 80s for the inland valleys. Back to you, laura and scott. Thank you so much, kari. Well be right back.
