Other parts of the city. Now, here. Dogs used to pass and kids. And the woman who called police said the meatballs were stuffed with white pills. She took a picture of that plate and said one had about a small candle, about 1. 50 in coins on it and of course the pieces of meat. This really odd discovery immediately raised a red flag because the woman who found it is a dog trainer herself. There are many dog walkers who use the path here where the tainted meat was found and many told us now theyre not letting their dogs offleash and letting them sniff in the bushes for fear that someone wants to poison the dogs. San Francisco Police did take the pills to try to find out what they are and theyre looking into whether all these incidents are related. Other meatballs were found around the twin peaks that area, in that case, poisoned with stri strychnine and the woman who found the plate and other dog owners say they want it to stop. Its a huge concern, absolutely huge. And i hope they start putting the resources in to try to catch whoevers doing the tainted meatballs. Because whats really concerning me is that a child is going to get really sick. Hes a sniffer, hes part german shepherd, so its in his blood. But i make sure to keep him on a leash and close to me. And until they catch this person, im not going to feel safe. Reporter and thats what we heard from many of the dog owners out here, just kind of keeping their pets on a short leash and getting the word out through social media, being careful with their dog. Police are looking for anyone with any information on any of the meatball incidents. Theres a 5,000 award for information leading to an arrest, but so far, no one, i spoke with this woman here, who has these two beautiful dogs and says she is aware and keeping a close eye on them as well. Beautiful, beautiful dogs and of course Everyone Wants to keep their pets safe. A big concern here to folks here in San Francisco. Reporting live in San Francisco, christie smith, nbc bay area news.
