A spokesperson for the consulate just came out and spoke to the media. Wouldnt speculate on why someone would do Something Like this. They say cameras outside the building caught someone pouring gas on it overnight. Now, we do have an image from a fireball. That is from the Security Camera across the street after a person drives around for a while and then parks their minivan and gets out and throws fuel on the building at about 9 25. This is at erie and laguna street here in San Francisco. We also have another image, chinese central television. A spoeshgs e spokesperson for the consulate called it a very violent attack. Now, the person in the van took off, and the building was closed at the time. In fact, it closed at about 5 30, but a handful of workers were still inside. No one hurt, though. San francisco firefighters knocked this down in about ten minutes. This is actually the doors where the guests would come in and out. The upper window also burned. Theyre thinking that someone may have thrown something through there as well. The consulate now workingfz the police and the fbi, and they say they are urging authorities to make sure they protect diplomats andhe property. We contact the Relevant Department on the u. S. Side, and we urge them to provide adequate protection for the personnel and the consulate, and we got positive feedback from the u. S. Side. People coming and going. Dozens of people showed up to a vigil for ashley last night. She was carrying her baby salvador, and walking with her 17yearold sister when all three were hit by a pickup truck on paseo padre parkway at maury avenue on new years eve night. Investigators say that the impact caused the baby to fly out of her arms. He changed her completely. Everything she ever posted on social media was about him. Every picture is him, so its very unfortunate shes not here to protect him, but i know that shell be watching over him. The baby is in critical condition. Her sister has minor injuries. Investigators say the sisters got into an argument with other family members in a car and got out to walk. Thats when they were hit by the pickup truck. An interview with the lone provider of a deadly house fire who took place on christmas day. The San Francisco man is opening up from his hospital bed about the life that he and his longtime partner built together. The fire broke out in the victorian home on baker street. From his hospital bed Patrick Sperry told us his partner of nearly 30 years, randy david, has died at a local hospital. Perry is recovering from severe burns on his hands. The pair spent several years together restoring the house. They had a successful shop in coal valley called the sorted rose. The last thing he would want is for me to be curled up in a ball refusing to go on because of my grief. He says he is choosing to celebrate the 29 years that he had with him instead of grieving. Two years ago robert gibbs weighed 764 pounds. He could barely move. Well, that led him to plea for help and post it owtube. That video went viral. Within a few months gibbs was on the dr. Phil show and attending a special wellness camp. Get this. He is now 254 pounds lighter, and he is not at all embarrassed about that youtube video. An 11yearold utah girl had to be rescued from the family washing machine after she got stuck during a game of hide and seek. She climbed in during that game with her cousin. She was pretty dedicated to winning that game. She got trapped for about 90 minutes. The girls family, they tried butter, peanut butter, ice and warm water because she started to get chilly. They could not get her out. They decided they had to call 911. Firefighters arrived at the house carrying an assortment of tools. So they got some gaspowered tools out, some big snips to get people out of cars. They were thinking they were going to have to cut down the middle of the washer and open it up to get her out. Some of the countrys biggest cities are bracing for a snowy welcome to the few year as another massive winter storm bares down on the northeast. Some of the customers say conditions at the resorts are not ideal, but theyre still skiable. Soon people here in Northern California are likely to start seeing more mountain lions, more bears, even deer can become aggressive if they are thirsty and desperate. So they need to eat, and they need to drink water as much as we do, so what happens is while they cant find a natural stream, theyre going to go to where the water is, which is often in peoples yards. wildlife Officials Say as tempting as it is to set out water for thirsty animals, its dangerous, and they advise against doing it.
