She told us tonight she wanted to talk about the new charges against the man she says took her other two sons and then left the crash scene. Surrounded by family, a tearful ada reyes said she hopes justice will be served with these new charges against lemuel wilson. If youre a multiple offender on a dui charge, you should be sitting in jail regardless of what it is be . Nbc bay area learned wilson has at least two prior duis on his record. First taken into custody this weekend when he sought medical attention in oakland. He had been charged with vehicular manslaughter and hit and run but now facing two counts each of murder and driving under the influence. According to legal experts, the charges may have been increased because of his prior duis. Reyes is angry tonight because she says wilson had just been released from jail on a completely separate charge. He got out on thursday and he killed my babies on friday. Reporter Pleasanton Police say officers arrested wilson for making threws against employees of nordstroms in the stone ridge mall days before the deadly weekend crash. For the reyes family, this has been a difficult day. She just came from the funeral. Casket for her kids. That was settia can tana reporting. Weve added language reflects the prohibition against disseminating the release status of an individual. Reporter the city is considering a 190,000 settlement with pedro figueroa, an undocumented immigrant Police Arrested and turned over to i. C. E. As he worked with officers to recover his stolen car. Receive bill scott says while his officers wont help them make arrests they will work with everything c. E. On criminal cases. Our policy is pretty clear. If that evolves into an immigration type of enforcement, our policy is clear. We stop it right there. Attorneys say the policy can lead to confusion for officers. They dont want to work with i. C. E. At all. If they start to get involved in the joint task force operations, they could knowingly or unknowingly be involved in in picking up people and doing federal governments job.
