Clouds out there but not much in the way of rain drops. You can see we have the system here that issi moving toward th coast. The system dropping down the coast. Never crossing into the bay area but driving down off the coast of southern california. Next up another cold system dropping down the coast that will have a little extra moisture and track inland over the bay area because it is a colder system. The good news, were not expecting a lot of rain. The update most places picking up less than a quarter inch of rain. 25. A far cry from what we saw earlier in the week. Some spots may see a dusting of snow down to 3,000 feet. Well let you the know when to expect the rain to arrive coming up at about 11 17. A harrowing ordeal. A woman trapped in the middle of a rushing creek. She was there all night. Take a look at video from Sonoma County just before midnight. A 67yearold driver lost control of her suv. It plunged into the middle of a creek. Miraculously it landed right side up. The creek was flowing so fast she couldnt get out. Her cell phone had no service. She remained stuck inside for eight hours till someone spotted her car this morning and notified firefighters. They came to the rescue. The driver only suffered minor injuries. Boy. Lucky woman there. First, their homes flooded forcing evacuations to get away from the rushing waters. Now more than 100 san jose flood victims will be move again. Marianne fab row joining us live from james lick high school. These families have been through a lot already. They certainly have. Right now, 151 flood vaccees are spending the night here at james lick high school. But because school will be back in session on monday, tomorrow those same evacuees will be forced to move to another center. Mattresses slept on just last week join drenched debris tossed on the streets near downtown san jose. A reminder of the intense flooding that ruined them. Tonight with more rain looming, city crews are on high alert. We will have 24 7 monitoring of any storm activity. All three affected areas, some of the storm collection systems is not currently in operation. So we will have pumping crews available. Reporter Emergency Operation Center Director david sykes says more than 1300 people in san jose cant stay in their homes tonight which is why many evacuees are staying here at james lick high school. Trying to sleep in a big room like that, its not easy. Reporter tomorrow she and more than 150 evacuees will be forced to move again to another Evacuation Center at seven Trees Community center. Another difficult transition for alicia who is legally blind. I have to kind of learn a little map of where everything is. Reporter she says she lost everything before during flooding in san jose in 1997 and counting on the kindness of volunteers to help her pick up and move again. We got to move, weve got move. Today, people from 140 different homes applied for emergency financial assistance. There was a bright shot here at the Evacuation Center. Buses pulled up and people piled in. Tieing in with the floods, a juvenile inmate escaped from custody in the south bay after the threat of flooding from coit creek forced the evacuation of awe work camp. We broke the story tonight on our twitter feed. Several juvenile inmates were being taken back to morgan hill, one you have them ran from the vehicle and remains on the loose tonight. Two others were quickly caught. And it is still a long road to recovery after the flooding here in san jose. Look at all this debris. A possible highway shooting shutting down traffic in the east bay. The chp has shut down eastbound lanes of highway 4 near the hillcrest exit. Look at this video sent in by a viewer. This just came in a few moments ago. Witnesses say someone was shot on a highway but chp so far says theyre still gathering information. There have been dozens on east bay freeways over past two years. Some cities have installed security cameras in response. A developing story out of new orleans tonight. A massive crime keen after a driver plowed into a crowd greating mardi gras. 28 people are reported injured when the man behind the wheel of this truck ran into the crowd and crashed into a dump truck. Five hurt have serious injuries. Police were quick to say this was not a terrorist attack. The driver was highly intoxicated. He is being investigated right now. Dwi office. So we feel a strong message about not drinking and driving. Also for the rest of the season, well ask people again, be respectful, thoughtful. If you see something, say something. The youngest victim just 3 years old. None of the injuries is considered lifethreatening. In the north bay tonight, Santa Rosa Police investigating a double homicide. The victims found in different homes all the way across town. Christie smith is live in santa rosa. There was suspicious activity at one of these homes just yesterday. Reporter thats right. Crime scene investigators have been at this location all night. We did speak with neighbors near the other home. They say yesterday, a man showed up and he was acting kind of odd. That he broke a car window. He got up on a roof. Investigators were called in. He was taken into custody. Now police are looking at him as a possible person of interest in all this but have to still determine how it unfolded. Grim discoveries at two homes. The first on Valley Center drive late this morning. The Police Department received a call at a little before 11 00 this morning. From some citizens who found a an associate of theirs deceased in his house on the east side of town. Reporter they believed it was a homicide. Neighbor bill turner was stunned. Heavy. I mean, this is supposed to be basically get away from the crime out of the city and you come up here. Now you know, its very shocking. To me its very, very shocking. Reporter the investigation then took another turn, a call about a female victim in a home on the west side of town. The detectives have been abe to establish that the two homicides are linked together. It appears that theres a relationship, extended relationship from a family standpoint linking both of those people together. Reporter a motive is unclear but neighbors say investigators were just called to that home yesterday because a man showed up with a hammer and broke a car window and got up on the roof. He was taken to the Sonoma County jail. On a drug related charge and violation tied to a restraining order. Police believe he may be tied to the homicide but have to figure out exactly when the deaths occurred. Its very shocking especially in this neighborhood. You know . And we are back here live. Again, the sergeant on scene that ive been speaking with says that man has been in custody since friday. So the timeline here is very important. That man still in custody again on unrelated charges. Investigators on the scene have not said how the victims died. They do say though they may be here for quite some time and possibly even into tomorrow morning to make sure they havent missed anything. A south bay teacher arrest this had week accused of having sex with an underage girl. Hes been identified as 32yearold William Dawson of los gatos. Police say he had a sexual relationship with a 17yearold student during the 201415 school year. Its believed to be an isolated case. Next at 11 00, caught on camera. A man dragged by this car. The day begins with a lot of sunshine through early afternoon and then 3 00, north bay begins to see showers. 9 00 probably the main event. Notice its not everybody at once. Scattered showers as we go into monday morning. By monday afternoon, the showers move on. The rainfall projections here again for most spots now it looks like less than a quarter inch of rain. Some areas in green around the hilltops of Sonoma County, santa cruz plants. We talked about several inches of rain with previous storms. This one we think about a quarter inch for most spots. In the esera, 2500 feet to 3,000 feet snow levels. You could encounter chain controls up across the sierra foothills. Thats a change.
