Every completed ballot that comes into this early voting location is checked by several teams all the way down to the signature to ensure a match. Ever that the ballot is counted in this room. That count is computed on the screen and there with one more step. That is the laptop with the official numbers for Santa Clara County that will then either elect or unelect some candidates. Reporter Oakland Police have arrested two men, a 21yearold and 28yearold after a wild gun battle broke out on the sidewalks that had people running and ducking for cover. The aftermath was chaos. An exchange of gunfire after midnight left two suspects wounded in downtown oakland. Six others caught in the cross fire including four women. It was closed when the shooting started but tonight some have backed out of a reception. Some of the women who were going to come to this event are not coming because of what happened. He was first arrested at the age of 15 for kidnapping and raping his 14yearold neighbor. 2yearold amber and her mother Heather Laura have disappeared. They were last seen in santa cruz. In the north bay a trapped dog led to three rescues. Apparently it started when the dog named pancake got stuck on a cliff. The dogs owner tried to rescue the dog. They got stuck. That is when a rescue team was called in and air lifted everyone to safety. I am just incredibly grateful and so glad that i got to out of it and that everybody got out of it uninjured. The owner says that pancake is a little roughed up but is at the vet and doing fine tonight. One lucky dog.
