Im raj mathai. And im jessica aguirre. Plenty of action on the debate stage. Late tonight, behind the scenes, in the spin room as well. We have live team coverage. We begin with Mark Matthews in las vegas. I understand you talked to donald trump jr. After that debate. Reporter well be hearing from him in just a minute. First lets get to the debate. You know, jessica, when they walked in, there was no handshake, no greeting between the candidates. But for the first 20 minutes, it actually did look like a president ial debate with both candidates making their case. Hillary clinton said she would appoint Supreme Court justices that would protect a womans right to have an abortion that would not reverse Marriage Equality and that would stand against the Citizens United decision. Donald trump said his nominees would strengthen the Second Amendment and would strike down roev. Wade. If you go with what hillary is saying in the ninth month, you can take the baby and rip the baby out of the womb of the mother. Using that kind of scare rhetoric is just terribly unfortunate n unfortunate. Reporter a question about borders morphed into wikileaks and russian hackers. Finally will donald trump admit and condemn the russians are doing this. That was a great pivot off the fact she wants open borders, okay . How did we get to putin . Putin, from everything i see, has no respect for this person. Well, thats because hed rather have a puppet as president of the united states. No puppet. Youre the puppet. Reporter but arguably the biggest headline of the evening came when Chris Wallace asked trump win or lose, if trump would accept the vote of the people. Are you saying youre not prepared now to commit to that principle . What im saying is i will tell you at the time. Ill keep you in response. Let me respond to that because thats horrifying. Reporter in the spin room after the debate, reverend Jesse Jackson had this response. If he wins, its a good deal. If he loses, its rigged. Thats a disingenuous response to a serious matter. Hes willing to take on the whole american system and literally destroy it for his own personal will. Reporter donald trump jr. And the Campaign Spokeswoman defended trumps statement. Why wouldnt he say ill go with what the Voters Decide . He will, barring rampant fraud. Every expert ive talked to says there isnt any there there. Except theyre not talking about the tapes that came out. Your dads talking about voter fraud. Correct, but theyre talking about busing people. Theyre saying, and i quote to this effect, weve been doing and weve been breaking the law for 50 years, and were not about to change now. Did al gore except the rule of the voters. It was only 16 years ago. He called george w. Bush to concede the election and then called back to retract the concession. Reporter the difference, of course, is that al gore did not dispute the outcome of the election before the election was held. What we heard tonight from donald trump, that was a first. Reporting from las vegas, nevada, Mark Matthews, nbc bay area news. Thank you, mark. Long time republican and hewlettpackard Ceo Meg Whitman was in the audience tonight with mrs. Clinton. Whitman pledged to support to clinton earlier this year. Meanwhile, donald trump invited patricia smith. We continue our team coverage. Cheryl, i know you spoke to some folks. What did they think . Did they think it was informative . Did it help them decide . Reporter well, jessica, all of the above. And i think that voters on both sides have already decided who theyre going to vote for. But quite honestly, i think that theyre very happy that the debates are over. Secretary clinton. Reporter from a huge watch party near Downtown Berkeley to a small gathering at a sports bar in walnut creek, opinions of the candidates for president are emotional. I cant stand him. He doesnt say anything of substance. Reporter and positive. I think hes doing very well. Hes getting out some points that he needed to get out in the first debate. Reporter this third and final president ial debate drew over 200 people to this jumbotron at oxford and addison in berkeley. Its more civil. He seems to be more well coached. I mean im going to vote for hillary. Hillary most likely. Reporter this audience seemed to be leading toward democrat hillary clinton. In the last couple debates, i noticed that hillary would be kind of thrown off by some of the things donald trump says. She kind of laughs it off, you know, but it seems like now shes very ready for his comments. Reporter comments these Trump Supporters in walnut creek seem to agree with. I think that in the long run, hes going to save a lot of money if he can get rid of some of the corruption. I was hoping that they would hit the issues of things. I was hoping a little bit more on health care. I think hes been on shaky ground, and i think shes been on shaky ground the whole time too. And its their last time to really go for it. So theyre trying to play it safe. Reporter democrats and republicans tonight hoping their candidate said what needed to be said to win in november. Reporting live in walnut creek, im cheryl hurd, nbc bay area news. Cheryl, thank you. One of the most memorable moments, moderator Chris Wallace asked both candidates if theyll accept the outcome of this election. Nbc bay area political analyst larry ger stin says trumps answer is telling. Somebody says, im going to have to wait and see what happens, that certainly gives the impression that that person may not be willing to undergo that peaceful transfer of power. He said similar comments with made by donald trump jr. As well, whom we saw in the spin room. Our debate coverage continues online. We fact checked what the candidates had to say in realtime. You can read the results on our website right there at nbcbayarea. Com. New tonight, another woman is coming forward with Sexual Misconduct claims against donald trump.
