In your world, nastia, the World Championships are great. The nationals are great. You are constantly surrounded by Olympic Rings every day. Nastia absolutely. You live your life to compete at the Olympic Games. No matter how many World Championship medals you have. Like simone biles. To complete the entire thing. She wants multiple gold medals at the Olympic Games. Al are you surprised it took this long . Tim i am a little bit. Al you had it wrapped up. Tim you know, think they also want to show the girls that, you know, this was a hard decision. You know, you cant overstate it. They have worked their entire lives, given everything to the process. It shouldnt be quick. If it is a Selection Committee they should get everything they need. Nastia they had a lot to discuss. Especially with the mistakes going on. There is a lot. You look at the results. Gabby douglas was in 7th place. Shes behind a few of the athletes that probably wont make the team. There is a lot to explain. That goes back to the team. Gabby douglas took it on the team finals and thats where they need her. Al when you heard gabby and aly would try to do this again how much did you do to get to this point . Tim i wasnt certainly wishing them not to do it. I know how hard it is. Its incredibly difficult. I just thought it was going to be too much for them. After all the time off they had. Al parents, waiting. They thought it would be 12 minutes. I wasnt prepared for a half hour talk show here. Tim this is agonizing for all parties. No question about it. I remember my mom talking to me about that process. Going to the olympic trials. It was decided by score back then. She said it was excruciating. Al has anything changed in the process as far as what we are going to see in rio . Taking us to the medals. Starting with qualification. Tim absolutely. You have a fiveperson team. On each individual event the usa will put up four different gymnasts across the four different events. From there they will qualify, most likely in first place into the team finals. That team gets shifted to three up, three count. Al you have been the parent of a gymnast. Your son pete put you in many situations. This is where they have been the past few hours looking for two swimmers who disappeared in the water. East Bay Regional Parks dispatchers are telling us it is now a recovery mission. Its unclear how the swimmers got in distress. Well continue to update the story as more information becomes available. Looking for two missing swimmers in pleasantson. Also at 11 00, a tragic accident in the north bay leaves a toddler dead. A mother was pushing a stroller across the street. Police say a 3yearold boy in the stroller was flung from the stroller as his mother pulled back to get out of the way of an oncoming car. The boy blflew out of the strolr and was hit and killed by the car. The boy was air lifted to the hospital where he died. The crash happened in the outskirts of sonoma. Right now the driver is not facing any charges. Since protests across the country tonight protests happening all across the country tonight. Dozens were arrested after a confrontation here with police. These protest in response to several violent events in the past week including the Police Shootings of two black men in minnesota and louisiana and the massacre of five Police Officers in dallas. Locally a rally in san jose ended with at least one arrest here. This is cell phone video of the incident tonight. Protesters claim a rally leader was later tackled by Police Officers. This is after 60 people marched through downtown san jose to call a host to a die in outside city hall. Police have not commented on the arrest. The city of oakland coming together in the wake of National Violence tonight working to create peace in their city. The mayor and city leaders gathered for a prayer vigil in oakland.
