At this point its not clear what caused them to crash. Chp says it did receive reports that a truck was moving erratically in the lane. They dont know if this call was related to this crash. Well, a teenage girl is fighting for her life tonight after being rescued from a burning home in hayward by firefighters. Firefighters tell us the girl was in the back bedroom unable to get out when the flames erupted this morning. Mike nguyen saw the fire when driving by on his way to work. He said the girls brother and nephew were outside shouting for help. They told him the 16yearold girl was still trapped inside. I got five feet in, just the smoke just kind of was too thick and kind of overwhelmed. I couldnt breathe. It got too hot. I had to back back out. Firefighters arrived just a few minutes later and did pull the girl out. She was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. Rescued by a helicopter. A climber who had fallen down a cliff in mt. Diablo was air lifted to safety. Take a look at this dramatic rescue here. Firefighters strapped the hiker to a backboard and transported him.
