Following developing news in the peninsula. Northbound cal Train Service has just resumed in millbrae after a death on the tracks. The Southbound Service is stopped. Cal train says a pedestrian was struck and killed near Center Street in millbrae about 9 30 knocking out power to the southbound train which left passengers stranded on board. Engineers have fixed the power problem but the scene has yet to be cleared. San Leandro Police say a group of vandals are becoming increasingly violent, shooting at pedestrians and terrorizing a community. Marianne favro has more. Reporter one of the shootings happened in front of this church. A man was shot in the head with a bb gun. Hes okay. But tonight police are asking for the publics help in identifying the suspects. First it was cars. Police say since december someone has shot out the windows of 125 cars parked in san leandro. The damage total well over 60,000. The windows of this mans suv were shot out by a bb gun. His neighbors surveillance camera captured what happened on santiago road. Police say the bb gunwielding suspects have targeted people. March 25th, someone in a sul ver suv repeatedly fired at a man outside la officina bar, striking his forearm. He had to have bb pellets surgically removed. Less than two hours later someone fired at a man in front of the United Methodist church on bancroft, hitting him in the head. Later the same night someone fired a bb gun at several people waiting for a bus on east 14th street, hitting a woman in the hand. Surprising, shocking. You can really hurt somebody. Cause an accident where somebody can get killed. Its crazy. Reporter this Surveillance Video released a few weeks ago shows one of the suspects. And police say this is the vehicle that is associated with most of the shootings. A silvercolored toyota 4runner with offroad tires that possibly has a missing fuel door. Residents say now that the suspects are targeting people, theyre more on edge. Yeah, it does make me scared. You never know when they might be shooting at us. Reporter police say Surveillance Video also captured a darkcolored lexus or infinity with tinted windows. If you have any information about these shootings, please contact san Leandro Police. Tense moments in a bay point neighborhood earlier this even as flames ripped through this house. Firefighters say they got the call about 6 00. Flames were already shooting through the roof. Two women suffered smoke inhalation. One lived in the house, the other is a neighbor. On top of that, firefighters had a hard time getting to a water source. The house has been declared a total loss, damages around 300,000 and investigators are following up on reports of some suspicious activity near that home just before that fire broke out. New details tonight about breaking news we brought you at 5 00 and 6 00 tonight. A woman and child reported missing have been found. The woman had been linked to a man involved in several highprofile investigations. Nbc bay areas lily chan is in San Francisco with an update from police tonight. Reporter this young woman is the exgirlfriend of stanislas petrof and hes had runins with police. 23yearold dana and 17monthold scarlet walked into this Police Station in the fillmore. A missing persons case reporter hours after police put out an urgent message asking people to help find the missing mother and child. This is a great ending and shes not missing. Were glad theyre okay. Reporter her mother reported her missing after radio silence from her daughter for more than two weeks. Though police had not suspected foul play, they were concerned. Renta is the exgirlfriend of petrof who made headlines in the bay area in recent months. Sources tell us officers had been trying to get ahold of renta about a previous Domestic Violence incident in which stanislaus petrof was the main suspect. He was arrested during this fbi raid on teddy avenue friday night. Agents and police found a weapon there last month and another during the raid on friday. In november, Alameda County sheriffs deputies were caught on camera beating petrof in a San Francisco alley. The suspected car thief led police on a highspeed chase and allegedly rammed two police cars before the beating. Theres currently an investigation into Police Excessive use of force. For tonight, petrofs exgirlfriend and her baby girl are home safe. Everyone is in good spirits and is okay. Reporter a happy ending for renta and her daughter tonight. Still unclear at this point whether petrof is the father. What we know is he is currently in federal custody on that weapons charge from march. More than two weeks after an electrical problem snarled service bart is up and running as usual in the east bay. Trains resumed running in both directions between the North Concord and bay point stations this morning. Service was down or limited between the stations ever since the problem knocked out power to 50 train cars. Many passengers were forced to rely on shuttle buses. Riders are thrilled things are getting back to normal. We can actually get to our appointments and stuff on time. Its just a lot better. You dont realize how convenient the bart really is from point a to point b. Bart hopes to be able to provide regular service for that monday morning commute. Airbnb launched a crackdown on hosts on violate San Franciscos shortterm rentals law. Under the law homeowners are only allowed to list their primary residence for shortterm rentals. The company is pledging to investigate those who list multiple homes and have essentially turned private homes into hotels. This is cell phone video captured moments after a small plane crashed into a car on i15, killing one person. It happened in fallbrook, 50 miles north of san diego. A 38yearold woman sitting in the back seat of the car was killed. Several other passengers injured. Both people in the plane are in critical condition. Chp says the plane landed in the slow lane and then skidded to the shoulder where it struck the car. The driver had pulled over to sync his blue tooth to his phone. We have witnesses that say they observed the plane to the east of the 15 banking back to the west with apparent issues. One witness stated that they didnt hear the engine of the plane, that they believe that possibly the engine was off at that time.
