They came outside and a man was wounded laying behind the red car you see across the street. A driver they say was speeding away. What they are telling us is they think the dispute begun just before they rounded the corner. The man on the sidewalk saying whats up dude. I kept kept walking. Reporter she said that man was raising his voice as a person in a car and says that car turned on to golden gate just as she passed out of view. I heard a popping sound. I came walking along here just after it happened. One of the neighbors saw a guy jaywalking across golden gate avenue. A car approached him at high speed. The shootings happened in livermore about 12 30. Police say several people were kicked out of the party and came back and opened fire firing on the house and then speeding off in a white sedan. Three women and two men were hit and taken to the hospital cht Authorities Say it doesnt happen out there and the community is stunned. This is very unexpected for the city. We normally dont have crimes like this, drive by shootings and with multiple people injured it is a little shocking for us to experience. Anthony jesus torres was arrested during a traffic stop and facing attempted murder charges. A water main break shut down part of a major street and highway offramp. Reporter wine makers are picking and crushing grapes ahead of usual harvest time because the drought has ripened crops early. Although we are set up with irrigation and can water the vines do not need a lot of water. Reporter says stress within limits are good for grapes. The vine has to struggle to the part of where its own life has been threatened. Reporter so far that has not happened despite the drought. In the Central Valley the lack of water has been catastrophic leaving grapes dying on the vine. Green and beautiful and now looks like it is dead. Reporter he says at least 80 of the grapes are shrivelled and soft unable to go to market. That is just no words out there. Reporter crucial resource, the amount of water in any given year not only impacts grapes on the vines but the number of new vines that can be planted. New plants need more water. With ads like these the plastic bag industry fought hard against the bill. The bag alliance saying this has never been about the environment calling it a dirty deal to scam consumers out of billions of dollars. Environmental advocates have been pushing for a broader Plastic Bag Ban for years but took a new compromise to build enough support.
