Whats the plan at this hour . Reporter right now, on the 2,000 block of california street, police have the cat pretty much cornered. Right down at the end of the alley. Perhaps you can see a Police Officer there with the rifle ready. The cat itself, go to the end of the alley, go to a parking garage, take a look at where the cat has been the past four hours, in a garage, under a vehicle here on the 2,000 block of california street. Mountain view pd as you meng mentioned all over the place with rifles and guns. Which they dont want to use. The plan is to bring in a game warden. He is here with a tranquilizer gun. There was a delay in getting the parks out here. The plan is to knock out the big cat, which was first spotted near a park about 6 15 this afternoon. We will hear from a couple people right now. First a Police Officer telling us now they knew for an absolute fact it was a Mountain Lion and not just a large cat. And the second person is a yawning man in the garage where the cat is right now skating with a friend when he saw the Mountain Lion. Take a listen. One of them had a photograph of it they had taken with their cell phone. Based on that photograph, we can see it was a Mountain Lion. Add tracking collar on it. After that, by the time the police were on scene, the Mountain Lion was gone. I was skating and i just saw the Mountain Lion in the garage. And me and my friend started running. We saw because it was sleeping under. Police dont know who put the tracking collar on the big cat. Not their main concern right now. With the shelter in place ord orderiorder issued, but hundreds came out to see what the excitement was. They were especially boldened when they were there with their guns drawn. Then they found out the Mountain Lion was there in the parking garage. The garage hasnt had electricity, knocked out of power. All day and into the night without power. Police providing whatever lighting they need. You make a left into the garage, that where the big cat is right few. We are told it should be happening momentarily. Plan is to tranquilize the big cat, and get it out of here. In case that doesnt work, there are officers with weapons drawn in case they do have to use it to protect people down in the garage right now and people out here in the street. In any event, it stayed under the vehicle and a someone from the game state game came in with a tranquilizer gun. Went in short time ago. Tranquilized that animal and it is being taken away. But 25 minutes good, they came in, and tranquilized this Mountain Lion. I found a couple of things to put a beon this story.
