The airplanes are getting the data back to the controllers is difficult. Reporter not only difficult to pinpoint where the plane hit water but difficult to determine how far it might have traveled after that. Reporter there could be better locator technology but it would be at a cost. You could do something where the plane could release something that floated on the surface. The fact they are taking the lead and doing everything they can to reduce their water use is an inspiration and should be an inspiration for everybody to do the same thing. Reporter wildlife officials agreed to use tanker trucks to deliver millions of young salmon here to bay waters. With the drought it may be the only way the salmon will survive. Getting to the ocean may be an Impossible Task for juvenile salmon this spring. Drought conditions may strand millions of fish from hatcheries like this one near reading. Conditions are so dry that state and federal wildlife officials are planning to truck the salmon to safety. They will put them in tanker trucks and bring them to net pens. Reporter john says giving 18 million juveniles a lift will help keep the salmon fishery afloat. The juvenile fish this year represent the adult fish to support our fishery in the year 2016. If we get the fish moved in trucks their survival rate goes way up. Reporter there is a risk that some wont know where to return to spawn. But it appears the severity of the drought will prevent natural migration, putting an entire industry at risk. It will be great for business. And get a load of this, potentially some 80s. By wednesday and thursday, mid to upper70s and by friday, 81 degrees, saturday and sunday going even warmer. It looks like a four to five day stretch of warm weather and eventually changes back here across the bay. Lets look at the forecast tomorrow. Sunny skies, all temperatures in the 70s. Looks perfect on the surface. But one issue for tomorrow. That is the pollen. Its going to go to the moderate category in the bay area.
