Eventually see low clouds and san jose, continuing the trend of 60 currently about 68 degrees. On shore breezes into our east bay valley, make sure that the weekend ends on a mild note as you can see, temperatures here, again, in the 60s to mid70s inland, Ocean Temperatures also now kind of a little bit from low 60s there west of San Francisco down towa; c0 santa cruz. For the morning, low clouds, drizzles out near the coast. Inland temperatures may be close to livermore as we see drizzle at times and mostly sunny conditions for most of the day tomorrow. Winds up to about 15 to 20 miles per hour, highs, still in the mid60s in San Francisco. Waking up to drizzle for the morning and for the north bay, highs in the 70s to low 80s. Sundays nice, but lets get right to it here. Monday, the eclipse forecast, notice, low clouds into oakland. Youve got the five center there. Now the eclipse really gets going after 9 30, you see there over on the right, between 10 00 to 10 15 is when 75 will be blocked out by the moon. Looks like the coast in San Francisco still seeing some clouds, but the good news inland and obviously the higher elevations, clear skies at least through the end of monday morning. So overall, the eclipse viewing is good, but some interesting weather late monday to tuesday, upper low tracks through southern california, slight chance of mountain showers off to the north and the second half of the weather story will be a bit of a warmup as we head towards next weekend and High Pressure makes a comeback. So far tomorrow, again, for morning mist around San Francisco, i think thats going to cause some issues for any eclipse viewing around San Francisco as you go inland though. To see some partly cloudy skies. And mild temperatures from tuesday and wednesday. That may be some 90s as we head towards next weekend. Fingers crossed inland so we can get the eclipse in. Theres been so much of a buildup and its not a longlasting event. No, its just a matter of one hours worth of really good viewing. And you dont to want have clouds come in. Right. Good point. You think this sign should say swimming, prohibited. Swimming not allowed . Do not swim . Too many lives are being lost. And as far as this sign is concerned, yes, it is. Reporter we raised the issue with the National Park service, the agency in charge of the beach and the sign. If the message is ocean beach is not a swimming beach why is that not reflected on the signs that are posted up and down the beach . You cant just tell everybody youre not allowed to swim here. Reporter because this is such a dangerous beach, at what point can officials step in and say, dont swim here . Yeah, thats a good question. You have to ask those officials to make those decisions. Reporter we did ask. The National Park service says because of our question, it will now consider putting stronger language on the signs. Beyond written warnings, the agency also sends out roving beach patrollers to alert people wading too far away from shore to be careful. We have dangerous rip currents out here at ocean beach, so we want you to be about ankle to knee deep, okay . Reporter but you may never know the risk by looking at the language in some travel guides. We wanted to know how tourism groups craft their messages about ocean beach, so we talked to howard picket, chief marketing officer for San Francisco travel. The most prominent Marketing Group for the city. I think its fair and balanced. And i dont were putting anyone at risk. Reporter sf travels website says the water is cold most of the year, and advises extreme caution, but stops short of stating what the National Park service has said publicly, that ocean beach is not a swimming beach. Somebody felt like we ought to be more strenuous, obviously we would do that. Reporter that could be the case. The National Park service says this week officials met to consider putting new language on those signs. The patrol posed change, wading, swim, and surfing not advised, enter at your own risk.
