It will not just be a lockdown as was mentioned earlier but the followup that will involve not just our staff but command staff, all the resources and partnerships with Behavioral Health and mental health. The Sheriff Department has deployed 130 deputies to join the joint Drug Task Force in the tenderloin. So they do have staff that are out in the fields, doing other things. So that is kind of one source that we would point to. Reporter now both the downtown sam cisco jails have been in lockdown since monday, and a deputy sustained a head injury after being punched repeatedly, and at one point, and the National Guard be called in to help bridge the staff shortage but today the sheriff says he believes deputies can handle the situation without outside help.
