Voters choosing to ban the sale and the possession of large capacity ammunition magazines. This also requires now background checks for ammo purchases and calls for felony charges for gun theft. Up next, two measures to decide the future of the val comall in cupertino. Measure c would confirmed that it could be used for dining, hotel and commercial purposes, but not office or residential spaces. Half of the precincts are reporting. 60 of voters to this point are saying no. 39 are saying yes. Measure d, the counter measure, speaks to move forward with a 3 billion vallco specific plan. That sets aside space for housing, offices, commercial areas, schools and educational purposes. Up to this point, 55 of voters said no on measure d, so that appears to still be more on the fence than the other one. Vallcos future still in the air. Only half of precincts are reporting to this point. People overwhelmingly saying yes to that measure. The election day in the bay area came with a few glitches. Our Investigative Unit came with problems in the alameda county. At the precincts at the ac transit lobby in oakland, workers tell us a ballot counting machine broke down for hours. Officials had to resort to a backup system, oldfashioned lock boxes to secure the votes. Similar problems in vote counting machines were reported in other polling locations where backup systems were put into play. Lets stay with the Investigative Unit. We have developing news. A federal judge is siding with San Francisco in a lawsuit that airbnb filed against the city. Home sharing companies could soon be facing hefty fines and possible criminal penalties if they allow users to post listings not registered with the city. Airbnb tried to sue the city to block the law calling it unconstitutional. Yesterday a federal judge denied that move. Right now San Francisco only lists penalties to the individual host, not the online companies. This decision could soon change that. The judge is asking both sides to provide Additional Information at a hearing set for network. No hard numbers on voter turnout around the bay area.
