Ok welcome back our final hour we're here with Clint Warner as we talk about marijuana a gateway to health we can we still get your book Clinton is available Yes or through Amazon is the best way right now that's always the best way isn't it well it seems so i sure sometimes wish I had a kind of bees assist a can tell you now in terms of what you're doing in this field what is that well. In terms of what I'm doing now yeah I actually. Well my spouse is a researcher so. I'm encouraging that and. I have a right occasionally for different outlets Personally I'm on a different project now working on a book on dogs dogs Yeah that's what's the theme. How dogs and wolves became dogs and domesticated us interesting I like that one said almost done I want your back on one that's ready Oh I'm I'm pretty obsessed with it so I hope by the end of the year Ok now you keep in touch with us on that would you thank you doors cannabis can women who are pregnant take it. Ok there's a touchy issue ha because I have actually a relative who had. Severe vomiting during her pregnancy pregnancy related him assists and she was good could not hold down food and was looking at likely having a miscarriage I think she had actually had one before and this would have been a 2nd and she used small amounts of smoke cannabis during her pregnancy and it saved her pregnancy and her son is healthy happy active wonderful human being now well into his twenty's. So the key is these these molecules that can ave ois do have influence on aspects of. Fertility and they can amplify it in some cases suppress it in some cases and you just always want to err on the side of caution I would say in pregnancy so as a medicine small amounts are not probably going to cause any problem large amount you know there's instances of Ross to far ends and other people using fairly significant amounts and not having problems I just I'm always kind of wary of. Having anything extra Onil alcohol sure just to be safe I get so yeah you know you're creating a human being and that's very important how good is marijuana for combating all timers disease. It looks pretty remarkable you know that once again there is that's irony because the stone or the dull witted forgetful Stoner is a stereotype that's persisted for a long time but the irony in that is that these compounds the can have annoyed seem to block some of the degenerative processes that are involved with Alzheimer's all timers looks to come from. Degenerative influx into the brain of inflammatory compounds and the response in a and some of this is aging these compounds build up within the brain and cause damage where the connections are sort of dissolved or misdirected and then there's incidents where this plaque Alzheimer's plaque builds up and it's pretty remarkable that that t.h.c. Especially seems to act almost like us it's been suggested a scrubbing bubble against all converse plaque and can change the environment in the brain dial it down so that it's not so conducive to developing all timers there's a researcher Gary wink I believe is in Ohio and he w e n k and he's found that you know small doses could be a really effective way to. Take our rate of Alzheimers down in this country not even getting high but just. Small doses on a regular basis will block these whole cascade of negative path ology for a politician who comes out in support of this either for medicinal purposes or recreational is that the political kiss of death or does he get reelected or what I think if. Opposite about now. It is you know of course it depends on your area of the country and what your affiliation is but you know George these affect really as since the state programs the effects of these compounds these medicinal marijuana compounds have had a huge huge reach and it crosses boundaries into all levels and ideologies you know get feeling better doesn't care if you're a Republican or a Democrat it's going to work and one thing a lot of veterans who have come back with a whole variety of either muscular skeletal problems or certain p.t.s.d. . And or some who have been exposed to toxic agents that have caused problems a lot of these folks have found relief from their problems and you know it's a pretty good testimony when you get a vet telling us that it works for them when they've been injured or damaged in service to the country and they're saying this works that's a good testimony Juris Ok let's go to the phones now let's pick it up by going to Kelly in Long Beach California to get us started Hi Cal go ahead. Yes gentleman great to talk to you sir knight George thank you thank you for having Clint back on . A great story so about 6 years ago a clip I think you were on when your book 1st came out when George yes he was and I remember listening to the show I'm a natural health practitioner myself and I was really in disbelief and. I got your book I had to read a few times and it wasn't till I met somebody that I actually advised them to get some cannabis and she had lung cancer and she the next time I start about a year later she was in remission and she said it was the cannabis and I was have been trying to get her cannabis oil like they're expensive oil I had been able to so that's when the dots really connected for me and I know you have the same experience Clint with in your book you talk about how you couldn't believe the studies you were fighting and it the cognitive dissonance involved with this subject is so strong that it's been out there in plain sight and I teach classes on this now and the practitioners are still amazed they still can't fully believe it and it takes so much to come true but I want to thank you so much for your research because you tell the story in your book how you heard it heard a radio report about binge drinking and how cannabis can be effective for it and that led you to your research that's what Rick Simpson did he 1st heard a report from the seventy's about working with cancer how the government study that had been suppressed and he also put it together for his own cancer and he came up with the oil that way. And I think it's just amazing that I too heard your radio interview and I've developed a course now I teach practitioners cancer and 28 other conditions that I have to tell you Rick quick really quick I work with a local collective and we count cancer patients and they're regularly in remission after 3 or 4 months so it's when you see it it's one thing to read about it what you see it actually in front of you and people you know and it's doing this it's amazing it's God's gift and I thank you so much clit Well you know for and thoughts are great yeah thank you for that that's some of the great feedback I get and happy days in my life or when I get a call or an e-mail from a physician who said I didn't believe this until I read your book and now I'm incorporating it into my practice and my patients are benefiting do they sell marijuana supplements like pills Oh yeah there's if you go to a dispensary a good dispensary. I guess some are restricted in other states and it's very difficult I haven't been to a lot of those but here in California or you know Oregon and Washington when I go to one they have. Capsules they have. Tinctures they have moments they have bones for topical use on sore muscles and for irritated skin like some people you know if they have radiation treatment they get. Inflamed skin and they have balm that works on that there's all sorts of varieties of medicinals that you can get capsules pills different strengths and compositions whether it's t.h.c. Dominant or c.b.d. It's really quite amazing what's taken off with this this whole world of cannabis Let's go to Brian in Indianapolis Indiana hi Brian go ahead George good at Bergen afternoon kid morning hey clan How are you and I'm great how you doing good good hey listen our state legislature they're wrestling with the medical marijuana issue right now and sometimes they're off to conservatism it's that better of them and I'm sure they're going to mess it up but anyway my question is really about the Native Americans and have you researched or study there used to give marijuana in the p.l.d. Been in the mushrooms. Back in the day and if you have can you tell us a little bit about what we've learned from them as as as you've been you know going to daven. We all know that. Marijuana is has a very good minister for everybody so. George good Joe Good topic and I'll take my answer off the air you've got a bright Go ahead I want to know also I watched Oh yeah I was going down in South America now what I understand is that for the Native Americans here in North America there was no native cannabis plant here it came with the Spanish. Sailors when they came over and had contact and down in South America and. Generally it is because it grows well in the types that they had grew really well and it was equitorial regions and then migrated up you know further north into Mexico and. Then migrated with the Mexicans up into North America and really found a home in the early 20th century in the jazz culture and that was sort of where it kind of filtered into the American. World other than it was already a medicinal there was you know there were but in terms of recreational or social use that was kind of came up through there you know the Native Americans didn't seem to have a history of cannabis use because it just wasn't a plant that was here. Their pay o.t. That's another story and. Certainly I was going down in the combination of vine and leaf down in South America what do you prefer smoking it to ensure. I personally you know I like some I like smoking and this is what I caution people about especially I should probably give a little advice to the naive people who may go to a legal state and try it or you know folks don't do this at home right yeah you know be careful IOW I say try smoking or vaporing a little bit of whole cannabis the traditional way because these concentrates are really really strong even the cannabis today is strong when I started it when we were getting Columbia and it was probably 5 to 8 percent t.h.c. Then the more locally grown since a 1000000 became popular and that was probably about 1215 percent t.h.c. I got a jar right here that I got at the dispensary. It's 23 point one percent t.h.c. . So someone said that if they had made the kind of horticultural progress with grapes they would be the size of watermelons now that as they've done with cannabis so people need to be careful because what I want people to think about is when you 1st use it one of the effects you can get is a loss of consciousness really Yeah I actually had that happen recently it was someone who had used it before but he had not used in a while I was at a class reunion for my college and so some of my buds and I decided to go out after we had had our you know luncheon and everything and have a little puff together and a fella came with us from another class and he had not smoked in a while and he took like one puff and we looked over and he was desperate out on the. R.v. Sofa and people were panicking but I knew that you know it would be alright he just needed something like some fruit juice to get his blood sugar up and a little time and but this the can dish and you want to be aware of is you don't want to be standing up and then take a timber. Seated and be careful because you can get what's called a head rush when you stand up. It has to do with the blood pressure you know it can lower the blood pressure a little and so be very careful about that that's the one concern I usually have for people starting to smoke and eating it if you can really get away I mean here's the thing. You really can't cancer. The when you eat it goes through the liver and the liver converts an inactive can have annoyed into an active can have annoyed so you actually get a deeper heavier high from eating than you do smoking it and so just be careful and be aware of that because I always say that you know marijuana cannot kill you but if you get too much you might wish you were dead the really unpleasant Stephen truck driving in Virginia 1st time Caller Hi Stephen. George I will get all case or thank you. So my question is Can c.b.d. Be detected in a drug test I believe it can be I don't know if anyone is testing for it because it's not been an agent of what you would call intoxication if it has t h c it'll show up yet t.h.c. Shows up that's the one they're looking for the metabolite of t.h.c. Actually through the urine it's come through them what it breaks down into is the sort of key to use but I don't think anyone's testing for t.h.c. I would say that I mean for c.b.d. . The drug test we need to have is to make sure that people have enough levels of these compounds in their bodies working for their health this is. Relatively new right now it's a new science isn't that what it is because it's just fascinating the whole story of how this was suppressed because of. You know resistance to the effects of the high and the whole agenda and racism was sort of tied up in there using racism to get this law passed against cannabis with Anslinger back in the thirty's and then to have it rediscovered because it was all very serendipitous you know it was taken out of the pharmacopeia when it was made illegal so it was just in absentia in terms of healing for decades and decades and then you get this guy Robert Randall who decides to go to a friend's house and smoke a joint and on the way home he notices that his vision has improved he has glaucoma and he starts to experiment finds out it works. Attention's the government for make it out of drops now don't say. There are some some I think they're trying to formulate some drops from t.h.c. For that but that was you know we were off to the races once he found out it worked and then you know other different kinds of a nerve ailment patients came along and then aids hit and boy we really found out how effective it is I remember interviewing during my local my talk show in St Louis back in 1986 some people regarding medicinal marijuana and then you know we're talking 20 to 3 years ago in they they would get so sick on pain pills and other things but when they switched to the use of marijuana everything worked for them they felt better it was amazing and I was actually watching people on my show cry because it helped them want. Well if you've been suffering and you get relief it is you know every emotion I would enjoy about it is it's a wonderful event and so many treatments that people have have side effects that are aggravating to them you know Ferebee And you know I'm not all that bad is one of the biggest things right there the side effects are going to come back at Clinton take some final calls when I'm on the coast website is now streamlined for mobile devices great news if you're a coast insider or simply want to enjoy our website on your phone visit. And welcome back to coast to coast were here with our final segment with point Werner as we talk about his work marijuana gateway to health the some title how cannabis protects us from cancer and all hikers disease is there research going on Clinton scientifically with the use of part on all these diseases there is but just not so much well there there is some in the United States because of the pushback from the medical movement. Some of the researchers are. Sort of pitching them is harm assessment studies because it's just a there's a blockade against benefit studies in this country that you know there are there are studies especially in Israel and the Great Britain and other areas of the world that don't have this insane restriction we have against science Ok and let us go to Barry and rocky hills South Carolina Hey Barry welcome to the show a.o. Buddy opap listen to work got a quick review and Tommy at the end of the. Cut to Clearwater man thank you so much for your research and development and this book you've got out I'm hoping his own audiobook I can't read it more is it I do not have an audio book but you know if you go for a cease if you search my name and C.-Span I didn't do a lecture you can find that covers a lot of this material right cool I'm glad you told me that and thank you so much you know about my problem was not a coat on an alcohol addiction up until 6 months ago yes almost killed myself you've got to be careful Yeah but I tell you what it feels so good to be completely all that out of the cottoning completely all alcohol but I still crave my t.h.c. Marijuana oil and it works and I think it may be no help the pain that much but it makes me healthy happy high 'd and hungry. It way thank you guys for that and your don't know who you had time to every all have a shot of marijuana yourself I try to do a little bit when I was in college for 2 days and I didn't like it because it made my heart palpitate and it scared the daylights out of me and I stopped and that was it for me. I'm not going to be one of those presidential candidates who says I didn't inhale. It that's the interesting thing we all have different physiologies and. Some people have no need at all some of us have a deficiency in our natural in the can have a noise and the plant just sort of fills in their time in the Bronx taken away Thomas I had your gin and your guest I like to say that in my apartment here I told you have a few things would goes on in my place might as well be juristic park but anyway. The neighbors neighbor underneath me is very much of a group again just a lever and the suction from underneath pulls up over here and one day I woke up coughing a bit and I had gained from when my living room bedroom is a in the studio to my bed but to my kitchen my neighbors next door to me thought they smell gas so they go down to the Silberman said Tom as gas has a pot moment and they don't know why they sent in the apartment and just say Thomas gas while the gas in the other ways gets from the stove thats all in the apartment and I woke up and big banging on the door that was my soup. Soup is White came up a looking at my thought they live I left my stove on you know. What the pilot light out or something pilot light on and it's not true they have a new type of. I have a new type of stove here anyway. But the idea or is that that there is obviously other things they're adding to the Ganges because this individual goes and buys his stuff locally of whatever on the street and take it one thing that that. May actually help I mean I don't have the. Health measures that come with the spread of the situation but. I'm telling you one thing I bet if I took a blood test I but they'd see gauger in my blood you know what I mean because just from inhaling it sure from inhaling it could happen and I never would touch this stuff now the words look I admit to being a beer drinker I like beer but not to the extent of being obnoxious. I. Think that. Maybe making the beer with this other thing may not be so healthy unwittingly it's not me doing moderation for everything Tom that's the way it goes you've got to be careful Well 11 good thought about that is that I don't you know we need to be respectful of the people that those of us who enjoy cannabis need to be respectful I don't like people smoking out in public on the street kids can get a face full of it elderly people need to be respectful and their ways to smoke it where you're not gonna impede someone else's air quality but on the other hand ultra low doses of exposure exposure to ultra low doses of these compounds have health benefits. Even very low doses do dial back that inflammation so you may be getting some ancillary benefits from. That unwitting use the great musician Louis Armstrong was always high he smoked a lot of canopy there. Requote that he smoked 5 cigar sized joints every day and let me do this I love Louis Armstrong he is one of my all time favorite artists in history he was one of the best because George what he did I mean he's even maybe beyond Mozart and Tchaikovsky in these because. He took all these disparate elements of music and put them together into jazz I mean the influences from the European music and from African rhythms and Latin music and all of that came together in this incredible multicultural stew called Jazz and the brilliance of that is unbelievable and marijuana he attributes marijuana he called it a friend an assistant who helped him think and consider and actually hear music in a more 3 dimensional way yeah he put him in a different dimension didn't it yeah it just put him in a space where he could comprehend and express and create Absolutely but he was he was one of the best and it's amazing how tremendous African-Americans influence was on music in those days and they just didn't get all the credit that they deserved it since the great music of our country so much of it really is from the African-American influence I think of John Coltrane Elephant my hero Ella Fitzgerald the great Frank Sinatra thought that she was one of the greatest singers he had ever heard she is my favorite vocalist on earth there is no more perfect what you listen to her sing. Porgy and Bess that album with Louis Armstrong you listen to her wrap her voice around some of those great classics and it's purpose of OIs is perfection it's incredible Sarah Vaughan. And those people they gave so much to our country and a lot of them really suffered because of prejudice we got a new book idea for you why don't you do that. You know. There's got to be something coming after the dog was book a yes absolutely all right back to the calls we go let's go to a nut in Indiana Welcome to the program hi Annette go ahead Hi Hi Thank you for having me sure. You're leaving me off into a different subject where I wanted to go you were talking about creating with this is not what I'm calling for but George Carlin talked about how how it opens windows and I totally believe that from my past writing or creating I always had to write if I smoked I always had to write it just freed you up but he did also talk about how it stopped doing that as well. My husband I'm in my fifty's he's in his late sixty's he was a Vietnam vet I don't see where marijuana has helped him with his p.t.s.d. At all it's a vice. And I think it's important that we also remember that that potential for abuse is there and I don't hear anybody talking about that he's been easily Armstrong I mean it's 5 bowls a day yes which to baby now which has totally helped with his cough but he checks out you know you you couldn't there was a point you couldn't get him to could never find anything he was always lose and things of all the time that were right in front of him he couldn't find 55 on the speedometer because he was happy cruisin 40 he couldn't there was a point where I didn't know if all timers was setting in because. And you were never going to know until he stopped smoking so that you could see where the man was and where the pot was how much did he smoke a day and. Still I mean he gets up early in the morning smokes a bowl watch in the news before he goes to war now what do you mean smokes a bowl What does what does that mean I'm sorry smokes it in a pipe Ok for you to Ok. So so he would have 3 or 4 hits maybe 5 in the morning off of a pipe. And go to work and he you know he's highly functioning and in some areas he was in a pilot or anything I hope no no but and work is close enough to home that he could come home for lunch and so he smoke again he would smoke before kids would come home from school at 330 it was you know always high he was he's always high yeah he's he's almost always I mean you could tell obviously. I but I'm somebody who's live with him a whole life so I can always could could somebody who didn't know him no I don't know the answer to that question I mean he would go in you know like anybody else and cover up what you're doing before you walk out the door you know you go watch the smile off of you you go do this you go see that it's what he needs to get out the door so that's not just yes I mean he's. There is I mean we. Back in. Like the eighty's we would always hear how it was not an addictive drug and there's no proof that whatsoever but but a vice is a vice you know and everything that we put into our bodies as the ability to be physically or psychologically addictive and I just think that we don't talk about that enough and I like to be able to smoke I think it should be something that I should be able to grow have in my backyard like I grow everything else but this time the shots like is his way to escape though that he needs to that that's correct so when we talk about Vietnam that say how great this is been for their p.t.s.d. I don't know that it's great for their p.t.s.d. I think that has come down to. Time spent with you know a counselor with a psychologist that could be a yes that's is that if it's let's ask Clinton's client has there been any reference to pot in p.t.s.d. Yet anecdotal reports from people generally. That it has helped. And then one thing that might be helpful is for him to try some with a little c.b.d. Not pure t.h.c. And if you can maybe get him to try that especially earlier on the could that do to him or for l Well that would you'd still get some of the effect but you wouldn't be it's not quite as stupefying maybe a little more social engagement Ok. But. It's it's hard to say there may be some other condition that he finds that it medicates him for but he sounds functional at work and generally around. I mean he's not completely stupefied I guess it's it is that you know we do need to say that for some people there can be problematic usage where it interfere if it's interfering with your family life. It's not a good thing someone committing used to say you know if you're getting stoned and sitting around and looking at your hands you're not having a great life that's could be let's get Shawn in from Santa Barbara California Sean go for it. George there yeah this is a Parkinson Schon Oh hi yeah and I was on fentanyl and I went cold turkey and the pharmacist don't believe I went cold turkey and I quit my doctor and I had a neighbor who gave me a big giant freezer bag of pot before he left and I'm finally getting down to had it for a year I was in electric wheelchair I was in a manual wheelchair now sometimes I use a walker and I can change so you're getting better yes or good for you and I'm glad you're off the fat now that stuff's going to kill you yes or and I am and but the most important thing organic and organic food natural food goes well with it not junk food last minute to go Clint what do you think. I agree with that I quit junk food in 1980 it's one of the most important things you can do. Well as sure as I want to thank you for being on the program planted and would you give out your website where people can get your book again and isn't the best place to get the book marijuana gateway to help. The president's State of the Union tonight was delayed a week by the partial government shutdown and another one potentially looms later this month as a bipartisan group of lawmakers came trying to find a border wall compromise Meanwhile just across the Texas border a standoff maybe a looming this isn't amassing a show of Mexican police law enforcement that I have yet to see in all the times of the caravans here outside Peterson egress is a show force against the 2000 migrants that are being held there not able to leave Fox's graph Jenkins due north about 2 miles right at the end of this street is the Rio Grande a the river that separates the Texas border from Mexico and there is very very little wall or structure except for around the port of entry so if you get outside of this particularly if 2000 migrants overwhelm the police forces here and bring down this chain link fence right here well it's for.
