Partly cloudy. 55 and a cool start to the day. For the most part staying dry. During the week volunteers gather at sc metro area to fill weekend food bags to send home. These volunteers are students at denvers Thomas Jefferson high school. They fill the bags every week. The food is distributed by the Community Food share program. For many of these families this is the most consistent source of food they get. The students get something out of helping too. I think that knowing how to help others and just giving back to other people will build in your future. You cannhelp out by donating to the denver 7 holiday heroes campaign. The money you give will be used to purchase food for the program. Donate at whole foods markets or online. Snow in the metro. Its a sign winter is just around the corner. You can dress up as an elf and join in the elf run to kick off the morning. Lots of fun. What else . We have the cabbed l light walk. Thats deccmber 2nd. The candle light walk is amazing. If youve been to it. You know what im talking about. If you havent, you should come. Thousands nd thousands of people walking down the street with candles in hand. It is absolutely gorgeous. There are all sorts of fun roasting chestnuts and a big celebration. And the lighting of all of the lights in downtown golden. Its really beautiful. We have video there. Also a parade. Thats always fun too. Yes. So the first three saturdays right after the candle light walk is the first one. We have these great parades that start at 10 00 to in the morning. Theyre so much fun. Theres all sorts of things. Of course santa is there. So are these guys. Sure. What we have here aae two of our group. We are from the colorado friends of newfoundlands. Theres eight of us that pull a sleigh in the parade for santa. What we do is cart rides for kids. We have some of our friends here. We have some kids ready for a ride. Basically what we do is raise money. All the money we get goes to the golden volunteer fire department. That is so perfect. Well go to break with ian pulling them along. Well see if ian does it. After the show some of the cast members spoke out. The cast addressed pence calling themselves the diverse america that fears the new administration will not protect them. Live along South University boulevard. Arson investigators and firefighters re still on scene trying to figure out what started a fire here in the behind me. Firefighters you see are in a crane right now looking from the top to the home along South University boulevard. The fire is out. Fire dispatch tells me there were no injuries for the responder side or the civilian side, which is good news. They were here around 4 32 this morning. But the cause is still under investigation.
