Daniel 1st we heard about a young man like a teenager who wouldn't eat the food that God told his people not to eat that's the 1st of many decisions that he made that could have cost him his life on through the Bible we hear about another choice that Daniel makes now as an old man Dr j. Vernon McGee is our teacher and we're headed into one of the most familiar stories of the Bible remember when you 1st heard about Daniel and the lion's den I'm Steve what's your host on this 5 year journey through God's entire word now I bet you know the highlights of this famous story but today let's listen for the lessons that bring the spiritual application into our lives today as Dr McGee will show us Daniel's testimony is so much more than just a children's story in fact on a number of occasions Dr McGee has challenged us to go deeper in our Bible study here is to encourage us again. And I'd like to begin this day with a little poem that a friend of mine a Canadian by the name of wall that I met down at Boca Raton in Florida it goes like this if someone should ever ask you why some Christians are so slow and like undernourished children they just never seem to grow chances are they're on a diet and too weak to relist than are the pulpit where they worship only serves the pablum brand how can a newborn Christian ever grow to be a man if he's always on the bottle on the baby pablum can that's all right while we're playing and had a cake and peek a boo but to grow in grace and knowledge we need Bible meat to chew Why not spread the gospel Kibo west some meat to help us grow strong to serve our God and Savior as we journey here below let us have a full course MacIt that well give us Frank less than and to those who need no leading give to them the pablum can let's pray every father teaches the wisdom of your word today so we can grow in grace and know it's give us the strength that we need to serve you no matter how young or old we are or how long we've walked with you we commit to follow you today in Jesus name Amen Now here's through the Bible with Dr j. Vernon McGee. Now we come here to the sect chapter of the Book of Daniel and this 6th chapter is probably the most familiar chapter in the entire Book of Daniel it's about Daniel in the lion's Dame and it is very important chapter because it marks the last of the historic section of Daniel and next time we'll be going into the 7th chapter and into that which is actually the prophetic section although we've had prophecy in this section and I think each historic event that's recorded is recorded for a purpose and it is to convey to us spiritual picture of that which is true today are will be true in the future now I want to begin reading here at verse one it plays Darius who sent over the kingdom 120 princes what should be over the whole kingdom and over these 3 presidents of whom Daniel was 1st that the princes might give accounts on the day on and the king should have no damage now we move ahead again his star Rickly in the book the chapter opens now with that bill in the hand of goal has now disappeared it's been removed from the number one spot as a world power and now instead of Babylon we have the media Persian Empire and that was represented by the arms of sale that we had in the dream that now you can as a head now you see we've come to Darius and he is the Darius Cyaxares really is the 2nd of secular his. He ruled only 2 years and Cyrus was the son of Darius is Nan Dane and can buy sees the Persian and that brought together the media of Persian Empire and it now is in power and they were all ruler now we have the position of Daniel under Darius the many years and we find that out that we have another empire but we also have done you know in the number one spot being Prime Minister but you will notice as we suggested when we looked at that model metallic image the head of goal and sail over brass siren are in play that there is deterioration any way you look at the deterioration in position deterioration in that type of metal and we find now that they unfairly art is quite noticeable Neb you can ask is the rain as we said was autocratic and absolute He did not share authority with anyone and now Darius here we are told has 120 princes who shared the responsibility of rouge ship with him and over this group he placed 3 presidents who were liaison officers between the princes and the king and so you have here a desperate delusion of responsibility and rulership and we're told that they had this position these 3 Daniel was one of that the king should have no damage that suggests that the presidents were to prevent the princes from stealing or undermining the king in any way now Daniel is number one of the 3 presidents and I take it that he. The my and at this time of buyout 80 years of age and now I read verse 3 of the 6th chapter of Daniel than this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes because an excellent spirit was in him and the king thought it was sent him over the whole realm now he not only had seniority but he had disappeared. An excellent spirit This means that Daniel was a spirit they all man and the king had such confidence in him that he place them next to him self in position and power now we have here verses for the non the plot of the president and transistor destroyed then you know this is something that all ways you find in politics you find it then churches you find it I think today and probably any business concern you find it in do you find there is everywhere an Eva It creeps and the home and that is the jealousy of those that are at the top jealousy of those that are in the top position and now I'm reading verse for the sex chapter Daniel then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom but they could find none occasion nor Paul Barr is much as he was faithful neither was that error our fault found in Him Now there is one thing for sure that when you find yourself the number one mind in any position today whether it be in politics in the church are actually in the home and in stool you are the one that those that have a jealous. Going to be watching and if there is a flaw in your lie and you haven't the Kellys heel they are going to determine and discover that weak spot and there may be used to get a share now Daniel had a remarkable life back and they could not find anything in this man's character anything in his past lives that they could seize upon and make something up not this but many a politician wished that he delivered a little differently and acted a little differently and that's true of man and I mean by that mankind generally but today a child of God. That the charges which And evidently will be leveled against him will be a lot now you can't keep people from talking about you but you can so layovers to make them liars when they do talk about you and that is the thing that we are enjoined as believers Paul said to the full Libyans and Philip ins to 15 that she may be blameless in harmless the sons of God without rebuke in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation among whom you shine as a light in the world and then the in Acts 2416 and Keri-Anne do I exercise my eyes out da have always a conscience void of the fans toward God and toward man and other words Paul lie down at night and go to sleep and not have a bad conscience troubling him that ought to be true of every believer a bad conscience someone is sad that a conscience is something that only a good man can enjoy and it certainly is true. Now I'm reading verse 5 of the 6th chapter of Daniel then said these may end we shall not find any occasion against this Daniel except we find it against him concerning the Law of his God Now Daniel was different God had made its people different and he of course in his religious practice says when he 1st was brought down as a boy or slave in the court of now you can as why he asked for a different diet and from then on a life of Daniel just happen to be different now these men are wire of that they said if we're going to find anything wrong with them we're going to have to find it in his religion and then that man when they say wrong they mean something they can accuse him of before the keen and so they all a volume of books there for him Daniel as the is politicians saw it was his religion and this is certainly a case of his good being evil spoken up and they knew that Daniel was faithful to God and that he was dependent upon and that is prayer life was quite something that was well known that for they are now going to have to draw a conflict between the king and Daniel's religion and that's what they're going to do versus $6.00 and $7.00 now of the sex the Daniel and I'm reading these 2 verses then these presidents and princes Assam all together to the keen and said this and to Him King Darius led of fly over all the presidents of the kingdom the government of princes the councillors and the captives have consulted together to stablish a royal statue and to make a firm. Crazy that whosoever shall ask a petition of any god man for 30 days save a video each will be cast into the den of lines now this you see it is a very subtle plot of these princes and presidents and credit politicians that King Darius was a good man I think that's obvious and secular Hispan I think that is certainly the implication of Daniel here but he had of vulnerable spot and I think many of us have it and that was it was as vanity he yielded to flattery and a great many people do that I think one of the tragedies today is that we have many Christians especially Christians of Maine and they only give to those organizations where the leader of the arguments ation butters them up flatters them and now I'm not just talkin through my hat. Because I know that I have been now in several places and have met some of these people are very fine Christians but they have that weakness of just being flattered and we were at dinner with some friends and I won't say anymore other than they told about this Christian leader had been there and said how wonderful they were and this other Christian leader and I said to my wife when we left that evening I said if I have this to a flattering people an order to run that through the Bible radio program go off the air and I said God is going to have the speech of people's heart and I personally think the day that it brings the cause of Christ into disrepute and destiny right when there are those who will stoop to flatter and those that will stoop to listen to it and be carried away by a long time ago discovered that I'm not as bad as my enemies say I am and I'm not nearly as good as my friends say that I am and so there's always that danger of being flattered I used to tell a boss in seminary I said Alice I don't care how sorry you are as a preacher and I don't care what church you go to the Lord always has in all of these places some dear a lady and she's going to tell you how wonderful you are and I said they'll be one of them they'll come up to you after you preach one of the lousiest sermons in a world and she'll say mom I think you're another Dell moody on the same and I said now that's nice to have there ladies like that that want to encourage but I said Young man the danger of that is don't believe them just don't believe them cause it's dangerous. Do may I say to you that they flatter this man and he yielded to it and so he thought my this is great and he drafted a bale and they made a statue of the King and these elevating him south to position a deity prayers only to be offered a him versus a nun now the sex of Diana let me read this now all Kingis stablish the decree signed the writing that it be not changed according to the law of the maids and Persians which are threatened not loyal for King Darius son the riding in the decree be yielded just see to his weakness and now there is this the tree that's gone out signed by the king and it can't be changed even the king they have needs and Persians can't change it after its plans so it puts Daniel in a bad spot now where you notice the prayer of Daniel and the accusation of the presidents and princes we begin in verse tan of the 6th chapter Daniel now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed he went into his house and his When this being open in his chamber door Jerusalem he kneeled of fun his knees 3 times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God as He did a 4th time now notice they reaction of Daniel to this new law he did not do anything that was all day shifts are foolhardy when he opened those who ended seed been doing it for years and other words he just didn't back down he did not act in a cowardly and compromising manner but closing the windows he just went to bat is usual prayer life and I would like to say that the neo someone says What is the proper posture of prayer I doubt whether that the important thing it was Victor Hugo. Girls said years ago that the soul it's on its knees many times regardless of the position of the body and I think that is the important thing is the posture of the spirit of man but if you want to posture it's needling and you have that set before us here and you'll notice he prayed toward Jerusalem that was the direction of Daniel's lie and he didn't intend to change it in the latter day so when I told Jerusalem and may I say that we are living in a day when the large says need their opinion and mount Gary Zimmer in Jerusalem Well man worship God but you worship him today in spirit and in truth that is the important thing now I continue to move on I'd love to stay there and talk about this matter of prayer but we must move on verse 11 then these men assemble and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God You see they were Whiting for him and it's really a compliment they had a feeling he had a reputation that he would not back down and he did verse 12 now then they came there and spake before the King concerning the king's decree hast thou not signed a decree that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within 30 days save or they all King shall be cast into the dandelions the King answered and said things true according to the law of the Medes and Persians which read not well I called attention to the fact that Daniel was yes a baying he was a little know when praying toward Jerusalem and believe me it was something that distress the king we're told in verse 14 then the King when he heard these words was so or displeased with him. Self and set is hard on Daniel to deliver him now he can't change his own law now you can as a could have but not now you say there's a deterioration down to where we are today verse 15 then these men assembled under the king and said under the king no king that the law of the maids and Persian it that no decree no statue which the king established may be changed and so now Daniel is going to be put in the lines then nothing the king can do about it now we have sex again then the king commanded they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions not a king spoke and said On to Daniel vi God whom thou service can Kenya when he will deliver me and I am of the 10 young the king didn't believe that I think that that was one of these half hearted things that some of Us Saints say today we say to somebody else all the Lord will take care you and when you and I get in that predicament we don't quite trust him like that now this king though has come a long way in recognizes that the god of Daniel was omnipotent and sovereign he could deliver him and he also saw that Daniel was faithful to God Daniel's testimony and the desolate court of 2 world powers as nothing short of miraculous and is unaffected in unassuming life was a powerful witness to the saving grace of God in that day well they put a stone against the mouth of the lion's den and Daniel spent the night down there now these lines were fierce and wild beasts they were not toothless lines maybe years ago that there was a man that got a job and I have 0 and they want him to go in the lion's cage to feed alarms and he said no and the keeper says look. Said those lines a toothless and he said yes as unnoticed but he said take a gun made a day well these lines had teeth and they were players lines but the safest place that night just happened to be the lion's den and I think Daniel got a pretty good night's sleep down black and the interesting thing is it was the king that was in danger more than Daniel Now you notice verse 18 then the king went to his palace pass the night face thing he didn't sleep Daniel did neither were instruments of music brought before him in his sleep went from him and he passed a sleepless night new day is concerned for Daniel then reverses 19 and 20 then the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste into the den of lions when he came to the den he cried with a law meant a bold voice on the Daniel and the king's token said to Daniel Daniel servant of the Living God is the God who lost service continually able to deliver they from the Lions Well I don't know why the king Specter Daniel dancer but Daniel answered and Daniel said to the king oh King Lear forever and he said Did you have a good night and of course the king didn't have a good night Daniel had a good night and not verse 23 then was the king exceedingly glad for him commanded they should take dang a lot out of the day and so Daniel was taken up out of the dance and no manner of hurt was found upon him because he believed in is God Now we find Daniel lifted to a very high position and we are told the last verse so this dang prospered in the reign of the rawest and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian and that is the my and also that Daniel led to a knowledge of the Living God this man Daniel is one of the great men of Scripture not next time we go to the prophetic section so tell then by God Rachael bless you my beloved. Pro quo where he was threatening to withhold military aid from Ukraine in exchange for the Ukrainian government investigating Joe Biden that's what the claim is well President Trump released the transcript of a phone call and everybody could see with their own eyes what took place and it wasn't what the whistleblowers in the Democrats in the media have been claiming so you might be asking why then are the Democrats continuing to call these people in to testify these antitrust people that are testifying what do they have to offer we already have the transcript we already have the phone call so what additionally do they have to offer you want to know what it is folks nothing more than their opinion in other words you can have 2 people listen to the very same conversation and draw different opinions we must raise it I've interviewed a lot of people on my show and sometimes when I get into debates I may have one person e-mail me and say Bob I think you were rude and mean to that person whereas another person emails me and says Bob I can't believe how nice and polite you were with that person and patient yet 2 different people hearing the very same conversation but forming different opinions all the Democrats are doing is bringing in the Trump haters the anti trampers to say here's my opinion of the phone call an opinion is not evidence the Democrats in the media are acting like these people coming in and testifying are bringing some kind of evidence to the table they're not these are people offering their own personal opinions of with they think that transcript shows the very transcript that all of us can look at ourself and Farmer at the next day. And we will have the camera roll on because I want those people to watch over your whole smiles now but what about this treasury business was God watching to see how much they put in the offer and he was watching God created Heaven or the one that doesn't need a dime from anybody but see we give because it's like a thermometer of our love for the Lord it's the thermometer of our faith that we have in the Lord. Because it shows that we trust the Lord and that we believe that I can plant some in God's work and trust the Lord to give back whatever he wants me to have Did you know that and I believe this people don't I get criticised all the time whatever they gave on the wall if they want to give 10 percent I'm not on the law I have to give anything but I don't want people under the law to give more than what I would give under grace so I was at that good place to give us a good measure to give it whatever you want to do so I've always made sure I've always given more than a 10 percent always Christian life why because I just don't want somebody on the lot of the outdo me and you can have your own reason. But I thought what kind of work can we do for the more than everybody did give to the Lord what they believe but that's what God wants them to do. Now no look at this verse and Jesus said over against the Treasury and be held how the people cast money into the treasury he was watching and many that were rich cashed in much. Evidently we don't have any rich people in our church destruction now but God has been good to us it really has and we've got is that how you do environmentally Well we'll keep an eye on those above the water line so that our feet don't drown. So God has blessed us and we thank the Lord for it but look at the next statement was and many that were rich cast and much and there came a certain poor widow the women Jesus knew this woman was a widow Jesus knew that this woman was poor. And you watch him so he wrote out a check and gave it to her for $5000.00. No he didn't do anything and she threw in 2 minds I mean is little as she had which make it far that and then it says he called under him his disciples and he said of them Verily I sent you that this poor widow has cast more in then all they have cast into the treasury. This woman who only gave just a small pittance a couple pennies she gave more than those rich folks and they gave a lot but says she gave more to see they gave out of their abundance and she gave them all that she had. She was poor she is a widow she gave all she had now with somebody watching this God knew this do you think she did that just so Jesus would say this about her I doubt it. Do you believe that whenever she gets to heaven God going to reward him for what sacrifice she made. But not noted for all they did cast in of their abundance but she of her want did cast in all that she had even all her living. Nobody told her to do that you see nobody can make you sacrifice. Everything that you have now like making you can be as dedicated to God as you want to be but you don't point fingers at somebody else who doesn't do exactly what you do but everybody ought to do something everybody that knows crisis Savior should serve the Lord everybody should carry a tractor and witness for the Lord it should but you may not some will do more than others but God says also in his word be it under you. According to your faith be done to you according to your faith your rewards in heaven is going to be under you according to your face your blessings in life could probably be according to your faith what do you trust God for or you will in this step out on a limb remember out on that limb is where the fruit is the 1st dot on the trunk. I'm now go pick apples something wrong all over the trunk or out there on the limb you know how used to get plums I climb the tree and get out as far as and I was said to and I would He's great big old good they were they grew in the cemetery and for some reason over the ground it really Ridge. And these cherries set in and I would eat until it would almost bust and nobody knew about this tree and the cemetery but me and then whenever we wanted a Christmas tree my mom and daddy stepdad never knew where I got my Christmas tree . And the cemetery grew the prettiest trees you've ever seen. And they were big but at the top they were perfectly shaped and so I would climb up that tree and I would cut down my Christmas tree and it was perfectly shaped. And I would take it home with a word you get debt. Down the road. And then somebody else like my Christmas tree. So I cut down a few more trees. And people trying to figure out what happened to those trees in the cemetery. That I tell no I did not kill he said that was wrong you got it right I never told you I had been perfect all my life. Just until last year. But you see there's times when you realize you don't have much and you don't consider whatever you do of great value she Some people don't go to church they don't put a value on it they don't give the way they should because they don't put in value on it they don't read their Bible Well I don't need to I don't put a value on it you see they have misplaced their values they've got time for the world they got you know what I was so blessed with yesterday I came over here and I had been over here for several hours and not got really when I walked outside and I was a whole bunch of cars down here at the gym and I thought to myself self all the cars on Air Force was not mountain air not open the door and I walked in and I saw these people in there at work and working like slaves and they were totally destroying this room. And I caught him in that. And they were changing everything and they put something on this wall and put something on the wall and they had it all cleaned up and they built some desk not desk but some cabinets implement and and there was Jesse and his wife and Mr Yant and his wife and Jan and his wife then a couple little kids roam and they were in there and they were work I thought this is so fantastic this is call family time. Quality time. They could have gone to the beach and wasted all that time but now there's a result in the last forever and that room and they'd company something and it looks good and they weren't destroying the room after all but before they got a chance to put me to work I had to leave. And so anyway I appreciate them come in and doing a lot of good hard work but they're doing what they can do and I appreciate it and they don't have a lot of time off etc That's only day they got all but they spend it over here doing this and so I appreciate and now I want you to look at the next statement where he says as poor are making many rich now I want you to take a look at description with me look there in the book of 2nd Corinthians and Chapter 6 2nd Corinthians Chapter 6. You may consider yourself or as far as the things of this world are concerned. But notice what we have here and understand the value of this in chapter 6 in verse one we then as I see that word in verse one workers together with him that is a very valuable position is to be with him and working together working together for the Lord is it that's what they were doing yesterday and I was proud of that I was glad to see taken Jessie's time off. His wife made him do it. Your mother in law did. Now he has a mother in law I guarantee you that. And so it says here in verse 3 giving no offense in anything that the ministry be not blamed you see you have a ministry I have a ministry this church is a ministry but we don't want to live in such a way that we bring shame to the ministry or shame to yourself or shame to the Lord . Because where workers are labors together with God and God knows what we have and what we do not have and so look what he says here and burst forth but in all things approving ourselves as a ministers of God and much patience and afflictions necessities and distresses and Stripes imprisonment into molds and labors and watching in fasting. A lot of things that's going to happen to you in life and through all of us experience you're going to learn something that everything you are learn by either of the supply enough of your needs or the diminishing of your needs you're going to learn how to be faithful and you're going to find out the tribulation work is patience you can learn a valuable lessons of many people never learn you see as you live your Christian life you are been enriched by becoming valuable in the hands of God and as you get over your supposed to be richer than you've ever been in your life. Now I show you that just a 2nd so look down here in verse 10 as yet always rejoicing in other words even though things happen in your life and they can be a long road and hurt and pain as poor yet making many rich having nothing and yet possessing all things there must be a difference in what we're talking about your poor but you're rich you don't have anything but you possess all things so there must be a difference in the treasures of this world and the treasures in the next layer up treasures in heaven lay not of treasures upon the earth so there has to be a different so your trading your treasures. And there's a song that we used to sing and camp and they would the kids would sing and I very seldom ever sung because I can't remember it is called I'm trading my sorrows but I it's all a part I know I don't know any more of that song was on trade in my sorrow on trade in my shame trade in something for the joy of the Lord I'm giving up something for something is a supposed to be better so you're giving up something here for something better that's going to last a long time. Look at the next statement trade in our treasure growing in the Lord has learned to trade our temporary treasures for eternal treasures as we grow older we reveal our wisdom by the choices we make our choices reveal its value because in your life aren't you always making decisions. And that decision you came down on this side suppose the of greater value than the other option that you had so we all got options you were all making decisions if you are as smart and as wise as you think you are then you'll make the better choices the right choices you heard a good better best never let it rest good is better and you're better best. But there's something even better within the next statement how to make people rich because here you are you're a Christian my purpose in teaching the Bible is to make all of God's people rich you say are you one of those preachers that you know prosperity gospel kind of individuals Well I want you to be rich in the Lord I want you to have much treasure laid up in heaven. I'm not interested in you run in to your mailbox and see if that $10000.00 check came in that's not what I'm talking about so look at the next statement underneath that last statement how to make people rich we have much to give because we have been given much now over the years God gives you more so you ought to be richer today than you were last year let me show you there are lessons we have learned from walking in the light and there are lessons we have learned from walking in the flesh when you have rebelled against God and you learn something when you walk in the spirit obey the Lord didn't you learn something don't you think those lessons you have learned are valuable when you obeyed the Lord that's valuable when you disobeyed the Lord you still returned some valuable lessons or you should have learned some people live and learn and some people live and never learn look at the next statement because it makes a statement in a book of the fish and Chapter 54 words sometimes darkness but now are your light in the Lord walk as children of light when you are talking about darkness that means you are lost you are in the dark where you going to die I don't know you're lost so you're in the dark and saw the flash your 1st birth is in the dark you trusted Christ as Savior God put you in the light now you know but some people who know they're going to have and walk in the dark they walk in the flesh so God says because you're not children of the light walk in the light so one of my responsibilities is try to get God's people to walk in the light so when they go home they go home in the light and you don't want to go home in the dark and the other words that keep you and get you over the finish line well out walking in the dark trying to challenge and motivate God's people walk with the Lord and walk in the truth of God's light now look at the next statement. All fruit are the manifestation of God's Love You see if you love the Lord then all these other things will take care of themselves and so the fruits of the Spirit are fruits to give you in the book of Galatians and Chapter 5 talks about the fruit of the spirit love joy peace longsuffering don't go to make notes and so on those fruits of the Spirit are fruits that God gave to me to give to somebody else so you are richer than you know did you know that majority of people in this life they need something look in the 1st one I wrote here we can give patients because our tribulation has taught us patience from our heavenly Father hasn't God talked to some patient the now what do you have to give that makes you valuable you've got some patience to give sometimes your wife might need a little patient maybe a lot and maybe just a little can you afford to give it to her how rich are you so God gave us these things so that we can give others these things that he has made us rich though you're poor you don't have much of the world's good but you're rich because of what God's given to you and look at number 2 we can give compassion I told the kids in college in chapter 9 of the book of Matthew when he talks about and he looked upon the multitude and was moved with compassion on them because they were like sheep having no shepherd haven't come in a book of Jude where he talks about making a difference having compassion pulling them out of the fire you see you may not have a lot of money but can you demonstrate compassion on somebody. Passion do you feel their hurt do you really care Have you ever shown your kids compassion or are you just. Their own environment where you hate the kids or you hate your wife you hate your husband or you see that has nothing to do with you paid the price they may need something very valuable like the next word is we can give forgiveness can you give somebody forgive Can you forgive them. Don't they can afford to do that and they won't do that the say you're rich God has forgiven you and because God has forgiven you forgive somebody else you see some people need this more than they need money in the bank more than a meter new car more than they need a new job more than they need they need forgiveness so you're rich you have something to give but most of God's people won't give it. Yes those are valuable items because that's the fruit of the spirit that's what God gave you some fruit to give. Why not. Thing then we can give understand and make cause we have received understanding from our heavenly Father sometimes people just want to talk and they just want you to listen they just want you to know how they think and feel the hurt the pain they just want you to understand can you afford to give somebody a little that you'd be surprised how they can enlighten your life and your richer than you know and you don't have to worry about the money of this world God. God can take it away but these are things that man cannot take away from you that spirit of love that you have got away. Compassion man can take that away from you because these are greater values to have in your life and the last thing on it we can give joy because we have received joy from our heavenly Father Christ as my joy I give John and make him take away that joy we can give love because we have received love from our heavenly Father can you love the last man. In somebody to love you. And God as written rich to our lives the last line that I got done here our race to run means crossing the finish line walking in the light while also helping others make it home without walking on that are now let me just mention to you. Let's just say for example I've known Bob here for years long time man Bob are both getting up there in age not only do I want to cross the finish line in the light me serving the Lord I want to do everything I can to help Bob cross the finish line in the light we got a young man right down here Jesse Martina's I not only want him to you know serve the Lord but I want him to finish his race walking in the light I don't want God's children walking in the flesh walking in the dark I don't want you losing your way I don't want you to become a stumbling block to others I want you to live above reproach and I want to try to do everything in my power while I can to help every person in this room cross that finish line because we don't know where the finish line is and everybody needs help and everybody in this room has something to give you are of great value. And there's people who need some of these valuable lessons that God has taught you look up to. This and represent you and me and. We all have sinned on us God loves us and I hate sin but He loves us and. Is eternal separation from God and Hell God doesn't want us to go to hell he loves us wants us to go to heaven to go to heaven we got to be perfect God nobody's perfect we've all come short of perfection we've all sinned we've all failed and we're all guilty and we're just waiting for the day of execution one day we're going to die but God wants us to have this eternal life but we can't earn it we can't work our way to heaven With man this is totally impossible he cannot save himself this and represent Jesus Christ He's the Lord God in the flesh he came into the world because He loves us. Separates us from him so Jesus Christ who had no sin didn't have to die but because he loved us he took our sins paid for them on the cross our value is revealed the price he was well in the pay so if he was willing to die for you give His life for you. Value you are to God don't you be little who you are and what you are your precious and the eyes of the Lord he came back from the dead and he. Would believe they did it for them he would put this payment to their account and you could go to heaven on what Christ did for you he loves you that much you see he had love and therefore he can give love.
