The body's need who does not have it is salvation and we don't have to be ashamed of speaking about salvation because it is being called the Bible and so what time was truth are tough times is to help you understand the nature of your salvation and when you do just see how that salvation turned your tears into telescopes and. I want you to take your Bibles today and turn to 1st Peter chapter one and we're continuing a brand new series that we've begun in titled timeless trues put tough times and these are tough times you say Tell me about it preacher Well they are but times I've always been. A matter of fact since the Garden of Eden mankind has known what the Bible would describe as sorrow r.t. Can tribulation and pry olds and testings way back in the Garden of Eden God said to mankind Cursed is the ground for the I say born since the souls shall or bring forth under the and God said to man from the sweat of your face you're going to burn your bread and make your living and those tough times were true in the days of the Apostles and they're going to be true in these last days but God has given us some timeless trues for tough times it's today that timeless truth is this you can turn your tears to telescopes we're going to be talking about that today turning tears into telescopes Now what I mean by that is bringing your sorrows into focus and bringing your heartaches into focus in such a way as you can see beyond the present and in to the future and see what God has in store for you and your tears today can become telescopes to make the future all the brighter and all the more meaningful Now I want to begin reading here in verse 9 verse Peter chapter one in verse 9 receiving the end of your faith even the salvation of your souls underscore the word salvation verse 10 of which salvation the prophets have. Hired and searched diligently who prophesied of the grace that should come to you and then if you would go back and look at verse 5 he speaks of those who are kept by the power of God through faith on to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time now there's one key word that has come up in all of those verses that I've just read and it is the word salvation my friend your need my need our need anybody's need who does not have it is salvation old fashioned know so salvation and we don't have to be ashamed of speaking about salvation because it is the theme of the Bible in any church that does not major own salvation is missing the Bible message I heard of a little lady from the Midwest who was traveling with a tour group and they were in England and they were visiting all of the historical sites and they went into that beautiful and gorgeous Westminster Abbey there where the elite of England worship and there where the honored of England lie buried and the guide was showing them the magnificence stained glass as he was showing them the stately columns and they were going in reading the epitaphs on the tombstones and the markers of the illustrious dead who were buried there and the guide was intoning all on and on and on about the glorious history in that place then finally he stopped for questions and he said Are there any questions and this little old lady with her shawl on her shoulders lifted her little hand and said Yes I'd like to ask a question when was the last time anyone was saved here a man I said Good question ask about any church when was the last time any body. I was saved the Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which is lost and so on time was true for tough times has to help you to understand the nature of your salvation and when you do to see how that salvation can turn your tears and a telescope's Now there are 4 things I want you to learn about this wonderful salvation that we have burst of which is this it is the subject of ancient contemplation look if you will again in verses 10 and 11 of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched the diligently who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you searching wot or what manner of time the spirit of Christ which was in them did signify when it testified watch it now before hand the sufferings of crimes and the glory that should follow centuries and centuries before Jesus Christ was born the Old Testament prophets spoke and wrote and prophesied bed Jesus Christ was coming into the world they preached they taught day prophesied the sufferings of Christ but glory of Christ and the grace of Christ in the Old Testament you know sometimes people have an idea that people in the Old Testament were saved differently than people in the New Testament they say well we're saved today by Jesus who saved those folks back yonder brand if they were saved they were saved by Jesus to. No one has ever been saved by anyone but Jesus and by any other method than by grace and the Bible says that these people I head of time saw the sufferings of Christ that is his death on the cross based on the glory of Christ that is his his resurrection his ascension his reign his return they saw it when you say how did they know Jesus had not yet come but the Bible says the Spirit of Christ was in them do you see it is very clear look in verse 11 he says searching what by what manner of time the spirit of Christ which was in them did signify when it testified before hand of the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow after that is Jesus was the one who told them he was coming it was the spirit of Christ that was in them that enable them to give the message that they gave so long ago. You know sometimes the critiques of Christianity say would Jesus wasn't really the Messiah. All he did was to a reign to fulfill the prophecies that is he was familiar with the prophecies and so he just arranged his life so his life would pool fill those prophecies. And I want to tell you he did arrange the relieving of thing is he arranged it centuries before I was ever born. What kinds of things did Jesus arrange that can't be explained away you'll find out about a few of them straight ahead here on love worth finding Stay with us we have no idea how this program will affect you what it will do in your heart or in someone's heart halfway around the world but we know this God's words powerful it's sharp and it will accomplish what it was intended to do we really believe that listen to what a listener in. One let us know the call letters of the station when you get in touch and thank you for your generous support now more about the messianic arrangements Jesus made Once again here's Adrian Rogers. Listen here range to be born in Bethlehem you think you could arrange where you were going to be born here range to be born in Bethlehem according to Michael the prophet he arranged the details of his life and his peasant background and and the humiliation he would suffer according dies ala the 53rd chapter here ranged that he would be be traded. And soul for 30 pieces of silver before it ever happened Zachariah the 12 chapters here range differ in that he would be crucified by driving nails in his hands and his feet in Psalm $22.00 before crucifixion was ever even known as a means of capital punishment here rain used for that to happen here arranged that he would be crucified between 2 thieves according to Isaiah $53.00 and Psalm $22.00 he arranged also that he would be buried in a rich man's tomb in Isaiah Chapter 53 before it ever happened and centuries before he came into this world I want you to know he arranged that he would be raised from the dead the 3rd day and that he would be followed by millions who with no hope of material gain and it cost of their own lives would set out to convince others that he had been raised from the dead because they themselves were so convinced what a marvelous marvelous arrangement yes he arranged it all centuries before it ever happened the Bible says the Spirit of Christ was in them and that spirit looking forward said of the sufferings and the glory that should come this is a marvelous passage on the inspiration of the scripture and as we study 1st Peter we're going to find out a lot about the inspiration of the scripture but let me tell you how inspired these prophets were these profits were so inspired and by the way Peter says and 2nd Peter one chapter one and verse 21 that holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost and that word mood means as they were born along by the Holy Spirit is actually a word for the the moving of a ship when the wind gets in its ideals Peter knew that these Old Testament prophets had their sails up and the Spirit of God was moving them along just like a a win drives a sailboat out on the sea and what a marvelous picture of an spread. That the spirit of Christ was in the man who wrote the Old Testament now dear friend not only did the Spirit of God give it to them but the Spirit of God helped them to understand it notice also in verse 10 which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you searching wot I want matter of time the spirit of Christ which was in them did signify when it testified before hand the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow do you know what that means in plain English. It means that after they wrote it they had to go back and study it to see what it meant. And that amazing they wrote it and after they wrote it then they started to search and inquire and to say what does this mean for it was so inspired of God that they themselves many times did not even understand the full implications are what they themselves had written and even the ones who wrote it. Could not understand it unless the Holy Spirit showed them much less can you understand the Word of God unless you search the scripture the Bible says that they searched Notice in verse 11 they search and then the Bible says that to them it was revealed in verse 12 do you see it God gave it. Verse 11 the Spirit of Christ was in them they searched it verse 12 it was revealed unto them now you want to know truth brand number one you must believe that God gave it number 2 you're going to have to get into it and you're going to have to search it number 3 God Holy Spirit is going to have to loom in you and turn the light own in your so will Jesus Christ. Said in John the 5th chapter that you are to search the Scriptures. Void. Testify of him and just as these Old Testament prophets contemplated the Scripture how much more today should we search and contemplate the Word of God Now let me just say this salvation is so wonderful because it's all of grace Now notice what those Old Testament prophets were talking about the Bible says in verse 10 listen of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently who prophesied the what's the next word Grace thanks should come unto you don't you love the word grace Well the most beautiful words in all the Bible prim by grace are you sane Now sometimes people don't understand what grace is Grace is the unmerited love and favor of God that is given to undeserving non deserving hell bound centers 3 key words in God's dealing with man one is justice the other is Mercy the 3rd is Grace justice is God giving us what we deserve. Don't ask for justice mercy is God not giving us what we deserve. But Grace is God giving us what we don't deserve and that wonderful when God gives us His grace that means by His grace he makes us righteous we don't deserve that but that's what saves us salvation is is not in the merit of man but in the mercy and grace of God So the 1st thing I want you to see about this salvation that makes it so wonderful it was the subject of ancient contemplation the Holy Spirit in the heart and mind and bosom of these profits so long ago cause them to testify of the sufferings of Christ in the glory that should follow now the 2nd thing I want you to notice not only is that the subject of ancient contemplation but it is also the subject knowing tid proclamation now notice 1st well under whom it was revealed that not only to themselves but unto us. Us they did Minister the things which are now reported to you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven and for and that's the way the Gospel is always to be preached with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven you see this salvation which is the subject of ancient contemplation needs to be the subject of a. Proclamation Oh how dependent I am today as I stand before you to preach the gospel I dare not preach it yea I cannot preach it an effect of this unless I have that annoying thing in my life please go on annoyed me even now as I try to make plain to these people how wonderful this gospel is. If we just knew how to pin down we are upon the Holy Spirit of God we are sanctified by the spirit we're set of side by the Spirit and then the preacher is a by the Spirit and when the Holy Spirit of God works in your heart to set you aside for salvation and when the Holy Spirit of God works in my heart to preach this salvation a divine miracle takes place in a little country church a preacher asked his deacon to dismiss in prayer there were very few people there but but in the midst of that very set in Lord. Unction eyes our pastor and then he prayed that a couple more times Lord unction eyes our pastor Well the pastor met the deacon at the door and said Deacon that was seemed to be a good prayer you prayed but I want to ask you a question what does that word. Mean anyway Oh Deacon scratched his head and he said Rabbi I don't know rightly what it does mean but whatever it means you got it now I think this is true in a lot of a lot of churches and a lot of put it so whatever it is there's some preachers who don't have it and therefore the word of God though it may be true and though it may be the subject of ancient contemplation is not the subject of anointed proclamation. The weight of God is to be preached by the man of God presenting the Christ of God in the Spirit of God and then there will be glory to God and people who will be saved why tell Moody was the Billy Graham of his day the Billy Sunday of his day God use muti movie was saved when he was 19 and he started working in soul winning and building a church in a Sunday school and he did a good job and he had a good work even what some would call a great work day in Chicago. But there were 2 ladies in his congregation who were praying for him and they would often see him and say Mr Moody we're praying for you Mr Moody we're praying for you after a while he was a little curious and so we asked them he said Would you mind telling me what you're praying about they are saying we are praying that you will be anointed with power to preach the word. And at 1st he was sure grin disturbed and maybe a little hurt by it and this thought was Why don't they pray for someone else I mean it's obvious. God is blessing my ministry I mean look at the crowds of people who are being sane but they said Mr Moody we're praying for you and they kept on praying and then the Chicago Fire came the tragedy in Chicago and money left Chicago and went to New York City and was walking the streets of New York City trying to raise money for the people in Chicago who were suffering because of the fire and he later testified that God met him on the streets of New York in such a dramatic and unusual way that he was overcome with a sense of the presence of God the hand of God was so heavy upon him that he had to go to a friend's home and bar room to be alone with God and there alone with God He had an experience with God not speaking in tongues not seeing visions but the reality of God and I'm not going to think of God on his life. Movie He spoke very little about it but enough for us to know that something marvelous happened in that room. And from that time on. There was a distinct dimension and difference in Moody's life new set of this man that he took to show continents and show them for Jesus Christ and I want to tell you something if any 2 of you want to get together and start praying for me it's all right I want you to do that I want you to pray that our pastor this pastor will have that annoying thing of God on his life and I want you to pray better 19 will be on your life and upon that. Which is the subject of ancient. Contemplation. Will also be the subject of annoying to proclamation we've song it brother and we've met to worship. And I adore the Lord our God but all his pain unless the spear. Of the Holy One comes back now the 3rd thing I want you to notice about this Gospel it is also the subject and jelly fascination look in verse 12 he says the last part of verse 12 which thing. The angels desire to look into did you know today that the angels are fascinated with salvation they desire to understand it they're looking into it but I want to tell you something Fran the angels still cannot be say all they can do is just stand on the outside and study our salvation they really cannot experience it things which the angels desire to look into. I have rather be a savior center than an innocent and. How wonderful how wonderful to know their salvation do you know. Oh. Contemplation here is the subject one more in the proclamation is the subject and Shelly. Has your Christian life been reduced to a once a week experience like something you only wear to church today on turning point Dr David Jeremiah explains why that has never been God's plan for his people as demonstrated by Jesus who went out of his way to show love without walls continuing his series and Mark here's David to introduce today's message what happens in church stays in church well thank you for joining us today I'm feeling a little pressure of this month getting away from us in just a few days we're going to be releasing the brand new book overcomer for centuries people have sought to overcome not just in wars but spiritually and rather than using swords and arrows to overcome our spiritual battles we have truth righteousness peace face salvation in the Word of God All available to us in this new book that will be released in just a matter of days I'm going to teach 8 ways to live a life of unstoppable strength unmovable faith and unbelievable power as we explore Paul's description of spiritual armor explain what it means for Christians to overcome in this world this book will be released into all of the stores across the country on the 2nd of October but if you order it between now and then which is just this one week period of time we will give you a digital video download of the overcomer worship experience live from Shadow Mountain this features are brand new original music with Charles Billingsley Michael Sanchez the Shadow Mountain choir and worship team and special guest Joe di Messina this worship music was written to illustrate and bring together worship. For the new book that comes out in just a few days the book is called overcomer and the where ship is called the overcomer worship experience many of these songs were written just for this book some of them are songs you know but most of them are brand new it's riveting it's it's the best night of worship I have ever enjoyed in my life and I'd love for you to have it all you have to do is place your order for this book that comes out in a few days and will send you the link so you can get this worship experience going in your life right now well we have to get started with today's lesson so we open our Bibles again to the book of Mark in the 7th chapter and we're going to talk about what happens in church stays sure. You've heard it many times and so have I It goes like this what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas you guys are pretty good you know that went. Well of course when anybody ever says that what that means is they're planning to do something in Vegas they hope nobody finds out about back home and of course as followers of Christ we should never do anything that we be ashamed to face back home so that's probably not a great little mantra for us to have a novel Cabul Ari But I want to take it in Stand it on its head and use it for another purpose does it not seem to you sometimes that this phrase describes the way we do church we come to our church buildings we do our church thangs and then we go back to work or what happens in life and whatever took place in church stays in church it doesn't affect anything we do during the week what happens in church stays in church and you obviously know that's not God's intention that's not his purpose. And it's very interesting to me that as we open our Bibles to the 7th chapter of the book of Mark it is this very issue that Jesus Christ is going to deal with. You see the what happens in church stays in church mentality was the way Judaism was until Jesus walked on the earth the Jews believe that they had some sort of a corner on God The God was their own special God the one available for anybody else and fact they did not consider anyone else worthy of their god the Gentiles they referred to as dogs they wouldn't walk even across their land because they felt they were unclean people but Jesus is about the change that. Jesus understands as he explained and through the Epistles we are taught that the Gospel did come 1st to the Jews but how many you know when there's a 1st there's a 2nd and a 3rd and there was also a plan for the Gospel to go also to the gentiles and the Jews held tightly to their rituals and their Judaism and their restrictions and here was the Lord in the midst of all of that wanting to expand the message of hope that was found in himself the Messiah. And so we find the Lord Jesus leaving Galilee and the comfort of the Jewish territory and going to a place outside of Israel to a gentile land someone has said that the Lord Jesus knew that the fault finders who had come from Jerusalem the truth squad might be followed by a hit squad and he wanted to get away before that happened it is also true that Jesus needed to get away because he was tired the Bible tells us that at the beginning of this passage he was wanted to get away from some rest he was being constantly pressured by the burgeoning crowds that followed him. And it's also true that he wanted to make clear. That his message of hope his message of salvation. Was not an exclusive Jewish privilege but it belonged to the whole world. And by going to Tire and Sidon Jesus makes an historic statement that the Gospel was not only for the Jews but also for the gentiles once he is out of his cultural zone and into the Gentile lands he performs 2 miracles that is the core of our story today and these 2 miracles are done for a specific purpose to demonstrate that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not something we hold tightly to our cultural zone nor dare we hold it to our comfort zone. The gospel is for the whole wide world now we begin our study today in the 7th chapter with Jesus reaching beyond our cultural zone and the elements of this story are very interesting because there are a range in such a way as to provide an illustration of the perfect example of somebody who is outside of Jesus' cultural zone and outside of the Jewish cultural zone he couldn't have picked a more perfect specimen for his illustration the Bible tells us 1st of all we can see all of this as it unfolds by the place where Jesus went verse 24 says he arose and he went to the region of Tire and Sidon and he entered a house and wanted no one to know it but he could not be hidden. Now Jesus walks away from Galilee for a journey of about 20 miles and he goes into this area called Tire and Sidon which is modern Lebanon today he goes to this place because he knows the Jewish people won't follow him into Gentile country. But he's not prepared for the fact that the message of his ministry has preceded him and it's all over the place and people everywhere know who he is and so when he gets to this place where he thinks he's going to be safe and wants to go into his house and no one know about it the Bible says it wouldn't happen. He's in this land and he's about to do in Tire and Sidon what had never been done before in Judaism he was about to expand the reach of his ministry across geographic ethnic gender and religious borders and he chooses to do this in a place that was about the most unlikely place you could imagine you know the tired side was the place where Jeff Bell originated just a bell the wife of a have who tried to bring all of her false worship into Israel and mingle it together with Judaism just a Bell who almost destroyed that kingdom by her evil. And her association with the prophets of bail into this place Jesus goes we see 1st of all his purpose by the place where he went no to Secondly the person that he met were 25 says a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit heard of Jesus and she came and fell at his feet and the woman was a Greek a cyro Phoenician by birth. A Matthew adds in his account of this that this was a woman of Canaan who came from that region and cried out to him. In other words this woman that Jesus is going to use as the main character in his splot and story is a woman from ancient Canaan the land where the Israelites went to settle the land and where Jesus told them to exterminate all of the inhabitants because they were so evil he was afraid that their evil culture would contaminate the Jewish line she was from a place that was despicable to the Jewish people she was from Tire and Sidon she was a woman according to Matthew who had been in cultivated into the Greek language she'd been Hellenized she was a Greek speaker and she was a perfect specimen for Jesus to use in teaching the broad reach of his message of the Messiah. And this woman was the most unlikely candidate for salvation you can imagine everything you can think of was against this woman her nationality was against her she was a gentile Jesus was a Jew her gender was against her she was a woman and in that particular time men dominated the landscape Satan was against her did you know that Satan is against her because she had come to ask Jesus to cast a demon out of her daughter and Satan didn't want to lose a host for one of his demons so he was against her and as you read the story you almost are made to believe that perhaps Jesus was against her because when she comes and she begs Jesus that He would all out the demon to be cast out of her little daughter Jesus tells her a story that when you 1st read it it just doesn't seem like why would Jesus say such a thing. She prayed to Jesus and she kept praying to Jesus we noticed the prayer that Jesus heard was a prayer of intense passion Matthew $1522.00 tells us that she prayed so much and she cried out saying Have mercy on me Son of David she didn't even know what that meant perhaps she heard other people say it made it sound like the right thing to say so whatever you say when you go to Jesus the Bible says the tense of this was she kept saying this over and over again she came to Jesus and she was crying out loud Oh Jesus son of David save my daughter save my daughter and the Bible tells us the disciples got irritated about it Matthew tells us that she did this so much the disciples finally came to Jesus Matthew 1523 and they urged him saying Would you please send her away because she's crying after us she has become a nuisance. In our language today they would probably say Lord get rid of this woman she's driving us crazy. She was so intense in her passion for her daughter and someone would say well why would she put herself out like that. You don't have to look very far before you realize she had one thing that made her do that that explains it all you know what it was she was a mother who had a child in trouble how many of you know we forget all about what's right and wrong and what's sophisticated and what's proper and what's culturally acceptable when it's one of our kids no doubt she had tried everything she knew to do. In order that this demon might be taken away from her daughter and nothing had worked and she came because she had heard that Jesus had cast demons out of people and she didn't care what was right or culturally proper or who thought she was a nuisance or not she loved her daughter and she was going to do what she could to help her daughter get a witness and we all do that don't we and sometimes when our kids are at home we can do that kind of hands on but I've learned that when you watch your kids grow up and they leave home you're almost reduced to I mean you don't even know what's going on in their life you know you say Lord I don't know what's happening with my child today but I bring my child to you and I pray that you will take care of him or her and I remember when Jennifer went away to college and she went to Cedar Hill which is a long way from here and I missed her so much and I finally realized that I felt the closest to Jennifer during the day when I was praying for her because somehow when you're separated from a loved one you meet at the throne of grace Don't you this woman came to Jesus and she was so filled with compassion for her daughter she loved her daughter so much she would break down every. Just to get an audience with the savior now watch I told you Jesus. Responded to her in a rather strange way have you read this if you read this and thought I wonder what that means the parable Jesus told but Jesus said to her mark 727 Let the children be filled 1st for it is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs. I'm scratching my head when I hear that one this woman's begging Jesus for her daughter's safety and sanity and Jesus tells her this little parable now it is a parable and so let me tell you what the parable means the children represent the Jews the children's bread represents the mercy of God and the little dogs represent the Gentiles. Jesus said to this woman let the children be filled 1st for it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs now immediately we know this is not an insult because Jesus uses the word for dogs that is what is referred to in the Greek language as a diminutive word which means it is a word that when you add an addition to it it becomes the small thing so these are little dogs and some commentaries are saying that Jesus was talking about puppies he's saying Don't you know that the children eat bread at the table and the little puppies they stay under the table so they can get the crumbs that fall over the table she wasn't angry with this she was taken with it. And what Jesus was saying was that the Gospel did come to the Jews 1st but also to the Gentiles and he was saying to her you don't go and take the place of the Jews in God's priority program but there's still a place for you and he uses the little puppies under the table to illustrate that presentation he said I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel but there's enough Gospel here for Israel and for you too and the interesting thing is as you read the parable the woman wasn't angry with Jesus I mean if Jesus had said something like that to some of you you would have filed a lawsuit for some kind of discrimination but she took it all in stride and basically what she heard was this no you're not a part of the main meal but there's still something for you and here's what she understood she didn't have anything to bring to Jesus to recommend her for anything which she knew something that we've come to know if there's enough grace in one little bread crumb from Jesus to fix every problem in your life she wasn't going to clamor for the priority that the Jews held in the Gospel she was just happy to get in on. The overflow of that into her life. And listen to her answer in verse 28 and she answered and said to Jesus yes Lord. I understand she didn't say no this is not right you should speak to me this way No she said Yes Lord I get it I get your parable but what I understand from the parable even the little dogs under the table eat from the children's crumbs. The woman understood what Jesus was saying she knew she did not deserve to be fed at the table and she was not insulted by that she understood and she was determined and she says Ok God I get it I don't get to eat from the master's table but I don't mind being one of the children's little puppies under the table that's good enough for me but I need some crumbs Lord I need them right now. And Matthew's account says and she said Yes Lord yes even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their master's table. So she gets the parable and she realizes that his main purpose in coming was to fulfill the prophecies of the Jewish prophets concerning their coming Messiah that he had come to the Jews 1st but she also knew the rest of that verse and also to the Gentiles and she was just fine with being one of those who came in 2nd it was to the Jews 1st and also to the Gentiles thank God for the crumbs are not of us to be here in our faith in this woman rejoiced and the Lord Jesus made a promise to her at that moment in verse 29 and 30 he said to her for this saying go your way the demon has gone out of your daughter and Matthew tells us that Jesus said to her Oh woman great is your faith let it be to you as you desire and her daughter was healed from that very hour. The Lord Jesus recognized in this woman's acceptance of God's plan and priority so much faith that he said you don't have to worry about it right now at this moment your daughter has been healed. And Mark $730.00 says and when she had come to her house she found the demon gone out. And her daughter lying on the bed. Now I don't know what else you want to take out of the story we'll get to the main purpose of it in just a moment let me tell you something you don't want to forget here was a woman who realized that one of the greatest things she could do for her child was to pray for her and she came to the one to whom she was praying and she begged on behalf of her child I know some of you have told me about the challenges you have with your children maybe you came to faith late in your life and your children grew up under the ology that doesn't have any room for Jesus and you look back I remember years ago I had led a very famous psychiatry's to Christ and then led his wife to Christ they had 5 children and he wanted me to come and talk to his 5 children and I want to talk with them and they were so resistant to the gospel they most mocked my presentation of the Gospel and after I'd finished with them I went into the other room where my doctor friend and his wife were and they wept and they said we made them like this this is how we lived until we found Jesus I'm happy to tell you that most of the children all to Muttley because of what they saw in their eyes came to faith in Christ but this woman knew what she had going for her was the Lord Jesus and she came and she prayed do we pray for our children I find myself when I wake up at night sometimes just kind of going through the names of all my grandchildren and praying for them at night praying for them early in the morning my oldest grandson just got his driver's license my purse is gone in this last couple weeks. More intense than ever before. So remember this little cabin in the middle of this message here's a woman who loved her daughter and came to Jesus on her behalf and Jesus recognized her faith and healed her little girl now we come to the next story which is at the end of this chapter the 1st story helps us understand how we reach beyond our cultural. Zone here was a Gentile woman in a heathen land. A Greek speaking anti Judaism person and God reached in and touched her life now we're going to see a story about Jesus reaching beyond our comfort zone and let me share the story with you 1st of all by sharing the impossible problem of this particular person again departing from the region of Tire and Sidon Jesus came through the midst of the region of Decapolis to the Sea of Galilee and they brought to him one who was deaf and had an impediment in his speech now Jesus has been to Decapolis before remember if you go back to the 5th chapter you will read about it it was in the capitalists where Jesus met a man who had a legion of demons and Jesus cast the demons out of the man and they went into a herd of swine and the swine ran down the slope into the water and they all drowned the owners of the swineherd were not happy with Jesus and they actually came to him and said Would you please leave would you go away and don't come back very unusual thing and so Jesus said Ok I will fight with you over that Ali But 1st I want to talk to the man who had the demons cast out of him and so he brought this man just before he left Decapolis and he said to him here's what we want you to do . Jesus said to the bank go home and tell your friends what great things the Lord has done for you and how he has compassion for you and the man departed and he began to proclaim all over to capitalists all that Jesus said done for him and all marveled Chapter 7 and Jesus comes to the caplets and here comes some friends with a man who's got a hearing problem and a speech problem and they've heard about Jesus how do you think there are about Jesus this man went home and he told everybody you know let me tell you what this Jesus did for me he changed my life well if you could cast that many demons out of a man cast them into swine maybe he can do something for this man who has these 2 Proverbs. The Cranford stand this week the president of Crawford Broadcasting Company Dunn Crawford talks about Christianity the Faith of Our Fathers and us Congress shall make no law which in any way of bridges the freedom of religion or speech especially religious speech or press religious press or media let me repeat if you will Congress shall make no law which in any way ab bridges the freedom of religion or speech or press none at all. Pretty clear is not those are the most treasured words in my opinion secularly written in our beloved Constitution and it's inviolable 1st Amendment Note the word used by the Founding Fathers a bridge bridge of course that means that Congress cannot eliminate freedom of religion not even think about it. But as importantly it also means that Congress or it's Asian seas or the dreaded deep state boy that is just such an awful thing for America none of them can and Anyway tarnish infringe upon or otherwise diminish freedom of religion that's reassuring isn't it my fellow Christians but actually in so many ways Congress does just that by omission and commission Congress allows its deep state its agencies and its administrative entities to fashion rules and regulations which curb or otherwise restrict religious freedom and of course it does nothing when liberal federal courts and judges are polled laws and regulations as constitutional when in fact they are not and perhaps more so Congress fosters this scourge on the Constitution by omission that is failing to act and act aggressively or monitoring its subordinates Congress allows an anti-Christian drumbeat to attack and diminish the Christian faith and especially Judaism Judaism without a word without legislation and with disregard for the express and clear mandate of the 1st Amendment many think as I do that our Congress House and Senate are the real problem when it comes to attack on religion in America do you agree by the way did you vote for these people who allow Aboriginal meant to our 1st Amendment and fundamental constitutional rights to happen addition you if you did my fellow Americans you have a chance to reverse that in November 2018 when you can vote for men and women who will up hold the Constitution and especially the 1st amendment tomorrow one such 1st Amendment protector would be Judge Brett Kavanaugh I'm Bill McCormick . United in Christ we stand k. L. T. Denver.
